Shut up and take it.

It’s the reason Trump sent Meadows to scupper the negotiations. He gets to put people out of their homes that are less likely to vote for him.

It’s horrifying to think of all those people put to the street, their health, their dreams, their kids’ upbringings, on the whim of a man like Trump. That stuff doesn’t go away. That’s an inflicted depression state on a generation.

If he’ll do this, there is nothing that he will not do. Not to win the election, mind you, but to avoid prosecution.

This is what a banana republic smells like. Hairspray.

“still awaiting clarification on the funding mechanism for this new benefit.”

You’ll be waiting quite some time. Like to infinity and beyond. Good luck with that.

Didn’t Reagan warn us about these “Wellfare Kings” driving around in brand new Ford F150’s?

Florida’s legislative sessions are ALWAYS a nightmare, since the GOP controls both houses.

There is the most wonderful development on reddit. A user put up a page for people who voted for Trump in '16 and who aren’t voting for him this time to put their reasons for why they changed their minds. As of right now there are about 30,000 responses from former Trump voters.

Why leave Kushner off that list? If we had had a national testing program and DPA for PPE then states would have more money.

I bet some of the responses are beautiful.

@henk posted this on another thread- dovetails nicely with your comment

Just wondering how this would effect the census? Couldn’t one make a case that the census would be out of whack since so many have lost their residence?

I am not on reddit; read about it and some responses on my news feed. My fave so far has been a Texas woman who said she voted in '16 and went to the grocery store where she was helped by a really nice Hispanic youth who saw her I Voted sticker and asked who she voted for and she realized she was too ashamed to admit she had voted for Trump. Immediately after voting for him. That stunned me. The rest were what you’d expect though some people got woke in the last 4 years apparently too.

So which hedge fund will snap up the US government, wrest out all the assets, lay off workers by outsourcing…well outsourcing by contract to run parts of the profitable parts of government, and then walk away?

Blue state, red state—who cares?

A long as it’s only the hoi polloi who are feeling the brunt of the problems, Republicans don’t give a rat’s round rear.

The state of Arkansas can make that happen, but it would be challenging and would take some time,” he told U.S. News and World Report. “We will have to adjust some of our priorities.
