This is good. I hope there’s a significant penalty to DeSatan for doing this crap, but doubt there will be.

Edit: No cats, but the butt end of a bull in the rain:

Honestly, the penalty is that DeSantis is never going to be President. If he hadn’t been planning a run for President, I doubt he would have ferreted out these DAs to persecute in the first place. He’s an odious little weasel, but his primary interest here was to build his “cred” with the MAGA base.

Unless he’s planning another go round for 2028, he’s probably just going to diminish and go out with a whimper. Though actually, that’s probably going to happen regardless of what his 2028 plans are.

were enough alone to motivate DeSantis to suspend Warren.

Was the boy’s proximity to the rabid dog enough to motivate the cur to bite him?

Maybe the State of Florida will have to pay the DA for a wrongful dismissal. If there are no consequences, DeSantis could just keep firing elected officials he doesn’t like and replacing them with his cronies.

So DeSantis thinks that Warren isn’t facing enough high level offenses to keep his staff busy?

A glimmer of hope that not all Trump appointed judges are hacks. We are still saddled with Aileen Cannon who is unashamed of putting her fist on the scales for a political outcome. Let us remember that this partisan imposition of federal judges without consultation of the senators of that state started under W and impleted without shame by McConnell.

Donald “Stinky Cadet Bone Spurs” Trump and Ron “White Boots” DeSantis are both, at heart, fascists.

The point when DeSantis could soak this stunt for its national electoral value is now long gone, though a positive outcome for him might still give some political value in-state.

At any rate, it is always a good thing to see DeSantis get swatted down in any context. Let’s hope that this reversal sticks.

I would like to say that DeSadass is an odious, repugnant piece of shit, but I don’t want to denigrate shit.

No. Incompetent Fascist. Fortunately for us.

Unfortunately we have to worry about the MIller’ and Heritage Society Fascists behind the scenes.

This may be the funniest thing you’ll read today.

Needless to say, Judge Engoron is not amused.
It’s worth reading the full email exchange. Hilarious!

Whether either is an incompetent fascist or a competent fascist is yet to be determined. The fact is that their instincts are fascist.

Because Rick Scott has been out of town lately?

About their instincts, you are absolutely correct.

Both DeSantis and Trump want immunity.

Cannon is a clumsy pawn, not a force. She faceplants on the scales of justice. Disruptive, yes, but hardly an act of strength.

I’m not going to research it, but it seems to me a majority of the moves he has made to woo MAGA have been overturned/reversed. His political/lawyer instincts seem to be bad. Starting a fight with the biggest employer in the state over free speech?

Trump is not delaying, postponing, or cancelling his townhall tonight on Fox News.

Yeah I can’t wait to see what he does on 01/05/27 when he’s termed out of his governorship. But I agree Ron won’t get the Republican nomination, so what is going to chew up and spit out from '24-'27?
