I used to think of Republicans as “snakes”, “weasels”, “skunks”, and other stinking and/or poisonous animals. But all of these animals have infinitely more integrity, class, and decency. Now when I think about Republicans I think about scum, garbage, shit, filth, etc.
And in truth, in the past while I mostly voted for Ds at the Federal level, I also sometimes voted R in state and local elections. I was actually a senior gubernatorial appointee of two R and one D governors. Now I can’t ever imagine voting for a Republican for any office, from President down to Town Fence Inspector.
