Anthony Scaramucci, a former longtime friend of President Donald Trump and ex-White House communications director, was spotted at a charity event headlined by 2020 Democratic candidate Joe Biden on Saturday.

I will be working to find a nominee to challenge Donald Trump

You can support Joe Walsh, the candidate who’s unfit, completely unfit, to be president, who is now officially challenging the incumbent who’s unfit, completely unfit, to be president. The GOP has a deep bench.

He’s just a poor boy from a poor family.

Spare him his life from this monstrosity.

Scaramucci is a former Goldman-Sachs guy and a financier for many years. I’m beginning to think he’s the canary in the coal mine signaling the displeasure of the corporate community with Trump -his handling of the economy and the uncertainty in terms of ability to make investment decisions due to his pathological instability.

So they’ve looked around and landed on Biden as their best bet -a moderate Democrat who won’t make wholesale changes as President and will probably run the economy as an extension of the Obama years. I suppose we’ll see if Biden picks up millions of corporate donations in the near future.

Agreed on this completely. The issue isn’t that he’s going to vote for a Dem. It’s that Wall Street may feel like it’s gotten whatever it’s going to get out of Rump and now it’s time to leave the party. I don’t have a problem with that.

ETA: On second thought, he’s also trying to do some networking so he can get employment.

Whatever hastens Trump’s departure.

That’s an imperative

The easiest way to do this is through the emotional piece. With Barr, Trump has (temporarily, I hope) stalled on the Bringing-to-Justice-by-the-Rule-of-Law front.

Make Trump have to use methods (and bullshit-inane-juvenile-schoolyard-tantrum-missives) honed in the casino world in the world he is in NOW.

I propose that Weld, Kasich and other centrist-esque (in the political world we have NOW) cats stage GOP debates on CNN.

The WSJ editorial page is basically the mouthpiece of corporate America.

And the Mooch is gonna mooch. Like a cockroach, the man is a survivor.

GOP Überstrategist Rick Wilson, in yesterday’s New York Daily News:

My favorite excerpt:

“How’s the beet harvest looking this year? Will the Stakhanovite efforts of the peoples’ vanguard at Comrade Newton Leroy Gingrich Heavy Machinery Plant 14 in the Wisconsin Oblast meet the tractor quota?”

(But I really just came here to watch the purity brigade trash Biden for “cavorting with the enemy” to help worthwhile charities raise desperately-needed funds; I can’t imagine they’ll disappoint…)

The Soviet Union at least had reasonably intelligent people involved in their five year centralized planning. Can you ever imagine Trump -the man who cancels State visits on a whim and causes a government shutdown without a hint of a strategy -doing this? Communism is hard work, so naturally, Trump’s not up for it.

Not that I’m endorsing communism. I’m just saying it’s beyond Trump’s abilities.

No doubt several of those corporations who were instructed to look for alternatives to doing business with the largest country on the planet will have some say in that.

Scaramucci denied that his presence signaled support for Biden’s campaign, saying he’s still a “registered Republican.”

I haven’t switch my support to Vice President Joe Biden,” he told reporters. “But I will be working to find a nominee to challenge Donald Trump because he’s lost his mind. And we’ve got to get somebody in there before we lose the election in 2020.”

btw

One is a Democratic capitalist narrative,” said Matt Bennett, a co-founder of Third Way, a centrist think tank that convened a conference of party insiders in South Carolina this week designed to warn about the risks of a nominee whose views are out of the political mainstream. “The other is a socialist narrative.”

Did he mooch his way in?

Stiffing a charity is more Trump’s thing, no? As I recall, he stiffed a charity then had the audacity to take a seat on-stage.

ETA: oh, yes. It was only a nursery school opening. For kids with AIDS. He was uninvited. And he gave them nothing.
