Can the DoJ, FBI, DA, etc., legally start a GoFundMe campaign?
If they’re “project” was to incarcerate Donald J. Trump, they’d raise a $billion in 24 hours.

Good point!
Based on how the committee has been operating so far, I’m not sure where that speculation comes from.
Public incitement to private violence needs to stop now.
I suspect the turnaround for an arrest warrant for blowing off a federal grand jury subpoena is significantly shorter than for blowing off a congressional subpoena.
ETA: Sorry yes its a state, not a federal call to appear. But criminal justice systems absolutely depend on the grand jury subpoenas being unquestioningly obeyed; I would expect them to enforce it very vigorously.
Similar to @txlawyer’s sly plan to bribe SCOTUSes off their seats, we should have had GOFUNDME’s setup to pay for legal fees/cooperation/testimony to tempt RWers who are otherwise counting on Chump’s largesse. Here is 5 million dollars, or you can keep clinging to false hopes he will ever show loyalty or part with a dollar.
Instead we’ve been donating 5 mil to a D campaign or PAC in hopes that D person will win, and at some point in the future hold sway over whether a motion passes which might later, maybe, achieve the effect we want. The direct route would be faster and less watered down. A ‘Do The Right Thing’ GoFundMe.
If your J6C-erection lasts more than four years, seek medical attention.
That went well, didn’t it?
I know, right? And while I appreciate that republicans feel like they have to jump ship from DT, any self whitewash op-eds really should include some context on the author.
No one is getting arrested if they contest the validity of the subpoena, or their legal requirement to respond to it, by filing a suit asserting their right to not comply. At that point a judge will freeze everything while the subpoena is being litigated. Already there are Georgia officials and office holders refusing to appear for the grand jury asserting legislative immunity. The Trump affiliated lawyers will likely assert attorney/client confidentiality. Others will assert executive privileges, saying their communications with and work for a sitting President are protected from outside scrutiny. You don’t get arrested for making these claims while they’re being contested in the courts. And the ways our courts work the DA could be months or years trying to get compliance.
D’accord. Although if one is in need of a powerful emetic, might be just the thing. I also have an issue with the choice of music. It could ruin the “Four Seasons” for ever.
But has it? Are we seeing any change in the momentum with this? I’ll know that some sea change is in place when we get that 30% support for all things TFG start to drop through the 20s. We’ll always have morons, but is it really incontrovertible evidence that might lead to overwhelming support for the indictment?
`Yea , now it’s pot, I thought it was doors
What’s a worse word for irresponsible?
If Hutchinson’s testimony changed anyone’s mind, or was the necessary piece to bring certain charges…we are doomed. There was already plenty, and/or it would have been dug up through other means. Between what the J6C and DoJ have, there is no reason this whole thing shouldn’t be laid bare and prosecuted.
Nobody answered my question the other day, has anyone seen REAL pressure or threat from J6C and DoJ on sitting congresspersons? To me, this is the scariest element, and would influence Nov '22 more than additional nails in Chump’s coffin.
If there has been a hands-off element for sitting congresspersons…then we will know the short-arming is real. The only hope is they have the goods on them and are waiting to spring it at another time…but that won’t be in time for Nov '22.
Much like Chump’s usage of media, the hint/idea that sitting R elected officials are under investigation would be huge. We need to understand what battle we are fighting, and that it is a media war for votes.
Look who hasn’t changed a bit…Guess it’s not doors or pot, it’s gangs

You touch on some important concerns. All I can say is that the position we are now in was not expected in April and May.
tRump did not speak “like a great president should” because he was no where near to being a great president. He was/is the worst president ever.
That sounds so familiar. I’ve done it a hundred times over the past three decades. Pharma plants, breweries, specialty chemicals, ethanol, chocolate, corn, bean oil, etc., etc, etc.
Software development was always a mad dash to complete prior to startup, followed by 14-hour days, 7 days a week until the plant is in full production.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
I’m management now and miss the satisfaction of seeing my work making stuff in a plant. Don’t miss the stress, though.
