So this guy essentially admits that he’s quitting because he can’t win with a fair map that doesn’t nullify voters of color.

Well, when you’re right, you’re right.

“Many speculate” that the number of retirements in an election cycle following a majority-party switch is susceptible to calculation and comparison with cycles that do not follow a majority-party switch. Sadly, this is apparently not a testable hypothesis.

Republican policies are not tailored for Democratic voters.

Yes, file this under N for “Not A Surprise.”

NC will be considerably bluer next congressional term.

Too bad I can’t say the same here in Tennessee.

The more incumbents that drop, the easier it is for Democrats to keep the House. And, they need to hold it, as the Senate is going to be a tough nut to crack, even if Trump falls apart and the Republicans are punished for a shoddy impeachment process. 2020 is probably the most critical election in the past 50 years, as the Republicans have turned away from Democracy…anything that makes it more difficult for them to hold any power in government is a good thing.

There may come a day where they finally turn back towards the light, but 2020 will not be that day, and until that day comes they need to be fought as a threat to the system.

Most estimates show an increase in Democratic seats in the House.
And the Senate is definitely in play.

“Which is why,” he continued, “I stand with a party and president wholly owned by Russia.”

Yet he will not help bring to justice the greatest threat to this country’s democracy and autonomy that we have ever had since the Civil War.

The Senate map favors the Ds. We’ll definitely pick up seats. I think a D Senate majority is within reach, but tougher to manage since it will probably be about 1 seat. Since certain Ds (Manchin) are really rather unreliable and whose only power is the ability to deny us a majority, that’s a thin margin, especially with a Democratic leadership that tends to fold.

Wassamatter? You don’t like competition when you’re the one who has to compete? You like the system rigged? Huh. Good luck with your future endeavors, loser.
