The hits just keep on coming for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).
Leon County Schools superintendent Rocky Hanna on Sunday announced that the school district’s mask mandate is now mandatory, ending the option for parents to opt their children out. The district’s new mandatory mask mandate makes exceptions for medical reasons and defies DeSantis’ ban on school mask mandates.
DeSantis is not willing to have his kids in public school, and the private school they do attend has a mask mandate. When will his sheeple wake up and smell the coffee? Ron wants you do as he says and not as he does.
The same is true for Doug Ducey in Arizona- he also has kids in a private school that requires masks. “Phoenix’s Brophy College Prep requiring masks, vaccines for students.
The private school, where Gov. Ducey’s children attended, is implementing vaccine requirements that contradict the state’s new rules.” (From Channel 12 News, Phoenix, Aug 5)

Why this is not a commonly distributed item of information eludes me. The only reason I can think of is that this information comes with a Jim Phelps admonition that the receiver of the information will self-destruct in 15 seconds…

De Santis has to be wondering why it was okay for Trump to kill hundreds of thousands, but not okay for him to threaten the lives of and kill little children. May his political ambitions die on a hill of ignobility and shame.
Not only is he despicable and beneath contempt, he’s also pretty stupid. He’s apparently forgotten Trump lost, largely due to his reckless disregard of Covid.
As radical as red state Supreme Courts are, they’re now in the very awkward position of following their citizens on this issue or being thought illegitimate. They have to be hoping their Governors back down rather than force the issue. Or, perhaps, try to find a mechanism to avoid making a direct ruling, as the Texas Supreme Court has done, at least temporarily.
Sadly, he is not stupid; Yale & Harvard educated.
Which makes him all the more contemptible. Very few things more dangerous than a smart person of low character.
Being educated at Yale or Harvard does not make one smart. Especially when one’s daddy paid to get you in there, and kept paying to try and educate this moron called DeSantis!
Obviously DeSantis had a brain wipe after he graduated.
Joy Reid had a segment on that. I think she was actually begging on video for that Regeneron.
If Obama (or Hillary) had been at the helm when COVID first appeared as a danger, we would have had millions of fewer deaths worldwide.
There has got to be something special about a mentality that is OK with that.
No admonition is necessary, as DeSantis’ political career is self-destructing as we speak.

I don’t quite get it. How is this defying DeSantis? It’s basically saying “wear a mask if you want”.
He is intelligent enough to track the movement of the republican primary voter mindset off the cliff to the right of Hitlertown.
