Shouldn’t have throne out the copy editor.

(Haha…the headline was corrected to “throne” but the comment header is still “thrown”.

Whatever happened to, “Follow the money?” They do these things because they are paid by foreign adversaries to do these things. Report on that. Please.

It doesn’t take foreign money for the monster raving loonies to rave from inside their delusional bubble.

“Lake, Donald Trump and other troubled pretenders to other thrones populate the political landscape, with no apparent limits to their very public desperation…”

The pretenders maintain their pursuits in no small part to being enabled by the courts. Despite Lake demonstrably losing, her most recent court filing was sustained on one count the court ruled was worth carrying forward for more litigation. The wooden dagger is just never driven to the heart of these matters.

Yesterday, the Arizona Supreme Court rejected six of Lake’s seven claims and sent the remaining claim regarding signature matching back to the trial court for review.

Here’s a hint on how to bring down her pretending to the throne.

Stop. Covering. Her.

Take away her oxygen and she goes away.

The media just never seem to learn this lesson. Even the courts won’t talk to her anymore.

Stop. Covering. Her.

Um, as you can see above the AZ Supreme Court is perfectly willing to sustain her nonsense.

Brilliant writing. Lake as Anastasia is comedic metaphor gold. Perhaps someday someone will find an aged Kari working as a costumed elf in Prescott which is AZ’S self styled “Christmas Town” spinning her fable to passers by.

you can’t fool all the people all the time

But it looks like Lake can fool herself forever.

Let’s hope, as with Donald, that Kari continues to decrease the possibility of winning future offices, with her bat-shit insane words and actions.

I say let 'er rip!!!

At some point, she’ll enter Jewish space-laser territory…(or are we there already?)

Meanwhile, Governor Katie Hobbs is busy vetoing stupidities coming out of the fever swamp.

Kari Lake is not of sound mind.

So, she’s perfectly suited to hold office in a Red state.

The most important line in the story and not entirely correct:

"The madness and dishonesty that consume the party are but the long, spooky chemtrail of Newt Gingrich.

Actually, the current Republican response to Democrats winning elections and while in power began with Bob Dole and had its origins with right wing radio and is why the Senate filibuster must be abolished. That is the bigger problem than the strategy itself is that it works.

I mean like it or not the GOP strategy of refusal to ever recognize the legitimacy of anyone not a Republican winning an election has for the most part worked. It lead to huge Republican victories in the 1994 and 2010 midterm elections and is also why the 2000 election was close enough to steal and the 2016 electoral college result.

I mean I don’t know after Donald “grab her by the …” and paying of porn star Trump how any Republican who supported impeachment of Bill Clinton over a consentual sex act can look themselves in the mirror without screaming hypocrite is beyond most Democrats. That is from the impeachment of Bill Clinton to the racist birther lie to the refusal to recognize the legitimacy of Joe Biden’s election victory the GOP is still employing the tactics by Bob Dole first employed as a reaction to Bill Clinton’s 1992 election victory, resistance to a illegitimate president at all costs.

I remember Rush Limbaugh starting on the day Clinton was beginning his program with “America held hostage day 1”. He would continue starting his program that way for years.

That is the “madness and dishonesty” that at first was the Republican response to when Democrats are in control and now has become the only unifying theme of the GOP under the guise of “wokeness” and really is simply “resistance at all costs to a illegitimate president” had its origins more from Bob Dole and Senate Republicans than Newt Gingrich.

From Bill Clinton taking office in January of 1993 through the 1994 midterm elections, year of the “angry White man” the United States Senate had more filibusters than it did in the entire history of the Republic combined. That is Bob Dole took the position that Clinton was not duly elected president and therefore needed to be resisted by extreme measures that had never before been used.

Now the question that needs to be asked but is another discussion is; what the heck were White men so angry about under Bill Clinton? The lower unemployment rates resulting in higher wages and jobs? The cratering deficit that would turn into surplus? The world peace with America as the world leader?

Nobody has ever asked about the Republicans taking control of the both chambers of congress for the first time since before FDR what White men were so angry about. But that is a discussion for another time.

Until 1991 the senate filibuster was used rarely and mostly by Southern senators to oppose civil rights. Bob Dole and Republican refusal to recognize that Bill Clinton was the legal president of the United States, taking his ques for Rush Limbaugh who every night beginning with Clinton’s inauguration started his program with “America held hostage day XXX”.

The problem is strategy of “resistance to a false president” worked and so far has continued to work for Republicans. It is the only reason they have any power.

So in my view, until the ability of a procedural motion not included in the constitution allowing a minority of senators mostly from smaller states to prevent a bill supported by a large majority of Americans from becoming law that before 1992 was rarely used but has now became the standard response by Republicans to anything a Democratic president tries to do is eviscerated, the Republicans will continue to refuse to ever recognize the legitimacy of a Democratic president because in place of any good policies it works.

??-The Arizona legislature, both House and Senate, are majority GOP. The electorate, the citizens of the state, did that. Saying AZ isn’t red isn’t makes no sense. Voting Dem in the Prez election and voting a Dem Guv are just sideshows. The citizens at heart are fascist nutballs.

Lake reminds me now of Emperor Norton, an object of pity in 19th century San Francisco.

All the illegal Arizona votes were cast for Rikki Lake. The ballot mules were white American businessmen who told their illegal work forces to vote for Rikki lake or they’d be out of a job and deported.

Rikki should be subtracting however many votes from her total, not adding them. And go home a bigger loser.

Alas, as with “Reality TV,” people follow the story, so the media chases eyeballs.
