If there’s another Jan 6th type attack after Harris wins, and there’s some involvement of a member of Congress, I fully expect Biden or Harris to have that member arrested and their devices searched. It didn’t happen, for the most part, because of the idea that members of Congress have some form of immunity…now the president has it for any official acts, and ordering the arrest and search of people who broke the law is very likely covered.
I think the article has it right though, they won’t go anywhere that’s a hard target like the Capitol, they will hit the places the electors vote for president in the states or other more isolated things where they can hope to avoid a big police presence. Drop boxes are one of those things…it’s definitely going to be a MAGA supporter who did that, but I suspect we’ll start to see copycat versions of that soon.

My advice to those responsible for the Capitol’s security is to deny any Trump campaign access, permits, etc. No gathering. They’ve threatened violence. That’s enough justification. Any violations, lock’m up. And, provide defensive and offensive capabilities. These guys are not our friends.

On Jan 6, 2025, Biden should, by executive order make the perimeter of the Capitol building into a fortress with orders to the Maryland, Virginia, and DC National Guardsmen to shoot to kill any person or group that attempts to enter that perimeter without authorization from the Capitol Police.

I dunno. Could be a MAGA supporter. Could be an anarchist type. If it’s indeed one person, could be a loony with no clear political bent. But whoever did this got the idea from the years of crazy talk about drop boxes, so Trump and his minions would be responsible at least indirectly.
