Well, there’s a lot politically I disagree with Amash about but I sure don’t hate him. If half the GOP were as worthy of respect as he is we’d be in a different place right now.

Amash left that dinner frustrated as he realized that the Freedom Caucus was just another group of Trump cheerleaders, the Post reported. Up until then, Amash had felt that the Caucus had more of a backbone, especially when its members would criticize Barack Obama on spending and what they felt was executive overreach.

I think I just found the most naive, gullible person in DC. I can’t imagine a person of such childlike ingenuousness sitting across from Putin or Kim. He really never sensed even a bit of racism from the Freedom Caucus or the Tea Party?

Good on him for taking hatred off the table. A lot of Trumpers think people hate him. I think that’s because these Trumpers do have hatred…for Hilary, for whomever Hannity or Tucker Carlson, or even Trump, are raging about. But hatred blinds people, preventing them from thinking clearly about what needs to be done.

I am more interested in his description (from the Inside) of the “Freedom Caucus”.

Oh…and I am reasonably sure that people like Meadows and Jordan don’t need much arm-twisting by Trump to be hateful and obnoxious.

They are the kind of people who wake up counting the seconds between leaving the house and interacting with others in as boorish a manner as is humanly possible

On a serious note I respect Amash for his decision, his reasoning and his courage. It’ll be telling to see if the district he represents continues to respect and support him as well.

That’s fine Justin. I, on the other hand, DO hate politicians I disagree with…THESE politicians. Not only do I disagree with them on POLICY but they are stealing from our country and lying about it. We’ve gone WAY past ‘disagreement’…
