Alvin Bragg Tries To Avoid Political Drama, But It Keeps Finding Him

Alvin Bragg has spent a long time now in the eye of the storm — or, rather, a series of storms.

“Exacute and prosecute”

From the article: “Trump himself has spent a week ratcheting up his attacks on Bragg, including calling for ‘protest’, and foreshadowing ‘death & destruction’ should he be charged.”

Wouldn’t EVERY prosecutor working on a Trump case have these Trump admissions printed up as large as a Buick, to be offered as an exhibit at any hearing regarding bail for Trump, or SENTENCING for Trump?

Wasn’t some of the earlier drama somewhat self-inflicted by Bragg himself?

I think he’s the perfect person for this job, at the perfect time to have it.

That letter from his General Counsel sealed it for me.

This DA’s office knows what it’s there to do, and it’s doing it.

Period.

Trump’s fucking with the wrong DA.

It’ll be the same with DA Wallis.

These are the first hard-knocks Trump’s had to deal with in his entire life. Fani and Alvin have been dealing with shit since they were kids.

Don’t bring a monogrammed Mar-a-Lago butter-knife to a NYCity or Atlanta alley fight.

Not necessarily in that order.

Which specifically? The sensational coverage of the crime rate or the controversy that prompted the resignations after Bragg took over? The answer is no or no.

Should this process move the way it should, we will have a lessening of off-the-cuff remarks benefiting this man. Bragg is not the only person he needs to look at

There is little that can be done to change what he likes to do, simply the consequences.

And as the 2024 election nears, browbeating the Rule of Law–not to mention the underpinning it has based on dedicated prosecutors–is not a good way of proceeding.

I get it:

“Nothing” has happened…at least not in the TV Crime Show lexicon…and, as long as the hammer hasn’t dropped yet, there will always be an enervation and pall over this business.

Generally, I agree with you. However, Bragg was trying to get going on Day 1…on whatever his initiatives were going to be. One must assume that he knew that that might ruffle some feathers, and with regard to Pomerantz et al, Bragg likely was well aware that there would be significant public push-back.

Trump has also stretched the truth to suggest Bragg is “following … orders” from George Soros,

What is this ‘stretched the truth’ bullshit? Trump lies, big nasty lies. Lies.

Honest man trying to do the best job he can do, which is all we can ask of anybody.

I agree, totally. That letter was very, very smart.

One thing I know for sure about Alvin Bragg is that Donald Trump is an orange piece of crap.

Bragg knows that there is indictment muscle coming down the pike. He is the opening act.

Just heard that Trump DELETED the baseball bat threat post.

Too late, Donnie. Everyone’s seen it already. Now this can be used in his bail hearing, AND sentencing hearing. AND, isn’t deleting it evidence of consciousness of guilt?

New York has an Obstruction of Governmental Administration statute:

One more thing: Running a Presidential campaign when every other question is indictment-related is a non-realistic scenario…, especially when indictment protocols must be observed.

And just wait until he gets a gag order smacked on him.

Talk about peril.

I do hope at some point … some distant hazy future in a courtroom that trump is found guilty of all if his potential charges and gets his final comeuppance.
10 years in a federal prison
Loss of his wealth
Zero grifting possibilities
No phone in his solitary cell.
No cameras, no one calls him
Just himself alone to talk to.
23 hours a day in his cell, one hour in the yard alone for security reasons.
Disgraced
Alone

I would like to hear of Mr Soros nailing some n00b with a defamation suit because of this “orders from Soros” bullshit. Yes Soros has given the majority of his fortune to democratic causes but that is quite different than ordering someone to do something.

“With time, it has become clear that the investigation is indeed still quite active.” Has it though? It’s been (checks watch) oh 7 years is all…I predict no indictment is coming if it hasn’t happened in 7 freakin years.
