‘Alternate Reality’: Biden Campaign Calls Out RNC’s Rosy View Of COVID Pandemic | Talking Points Memo

In the battle between Trump’s lies and Biden’s truth, the lies will always win among the true believers. No sense in trying to convert them. Instead, simply put out Trump’s lies to the rest of the electorate and pray for the best.

It really is rather amazing. So many delusional people running our government. Either that, or they know the truth and are bald-faced liars. From the outside looking in, it really doesn’t make any difference. They are grossly dysfunctional and incapable of anything but maladministration while driving us all down.

I’m guessing it will be maybe 250,000 dead in the US by Election Day. Maybe more, if the business interests succeed in forcing too-quick reopenings. Today (at 1:30) the New Mexico Supreme Court will hear a lawsuit by the restaurant industry which challenges Gov. MLG’s ban on indoor dining. They, and the state Republican Party, have been launching one lawsuit after another challenging the Gov’s power to impose emergency rules to protect the public health.

If it’s your life v their bottom line, the one with the $ figure will always triumph.

Well, thank goodness our president* single-handedly defeated the coronavirus threat. Let’s stop wearing masks, re-open the entire country and forget this whole thing ever happened. Kudlow is truly a clown.

Tiffany and Melania sounded so nice it made me wonder who they were talking about.

Trump’s base may be easily duped by this sort of garbage, but most voters know what’s really going on out there. I hesitate to say that writing the pandemic off as a thing of the past will be the nail in Trump’s electoral coffin, but…

How can you make 178,578 American deaths rosy? Just one of those deaths that could have been avoided is on Trump’s shoulders, but sociopaths do not feel, nor do they have a conscience, so he feels no weight.

I presume this means we’ll shortly have an announcement that all testing will cease.

Was is the operative word…
Trump’s cancel culture at its best or Kudlow’s freudian slip?

Truth…it is disrespectful to the Americans who died due to the inability and delays of mitigating C19 by Trump and his maladministration’s dismissal of the cause of their death as a hoax and disheartening to their families to have the death of their loved ones “cancel” to win- re-election!

I appreciate how the Biden Campaign is approaching the Republicans here.

It would be easy to get caught up in the scandal of them using taxpayers money to fund their campaign at their convention by using the WH as a backdrop, and this should be pointed out.

But that scandal is second fiddle to the utter lack of policy to address a real crisis. “It is the economy stupid”, well, and also life and death, which all centers around controlling the outbreak of this virus.

On another thread, I wrote about us embracing despair and railed against it. I still do. It is a fool’s errand to posit that out-Glooming your neighbor is going to get him/her charged up to fight the Existenial Threat that is the Monster, Donald Trump.

But I also wish to insert that the Captains of our social institutions: Law, Education, Fourth Estate, Business, etc. are going to have to do some work as well. The Common People can work to fight this menace, but Our Social Institutions cannot survive four more years (or even four more months) of Trump.

We are in the fight for our lives. Those in the Gated Communities with homes in the eight-figures who really know what Trump can do had better get on the stick

No one in this administration is delusional, they are simply lying to avoid addressing their failures. There is clear intent behind the misinformation. They do not care about most people and will say anything to get re-elected. They know this has worked in the past with their base, so it’s too late to change now.

White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow repeatedly referred to the coronavirus pandemic in the past tense

Larry Kudlow is the GOP neo-Renaissance man, a person whose ignorance spans a significant number of various subject areas.

Also “Boxer” appropriate to Donnie:

Just a come-on from the whores on Seventh Avenue
I do declare, there were times when I was so lonesome
I took some comfort there

My ad would be a blatant tear jerker featuring “The Orphans of the Trump Pandemic” and would be a montage of the people, especially children and young people who have lost their grandparents and parents to covid19, standing next to photos, or in videos with their now deceased parents and grandparents. And there would be both a voice over and closed captioning. The copy would be something like, Donald Trump has already forgotten the thousands of Americans who died from his inaction, deception, and his instructions to take bleach and other quack cures and not to wear a mask. But Joe Biden and Democrats will never forget the families torn apart by Trump’s pandemic or the children who have lost their parents, and grandparents, and loved ones. Joe Biden cares and will listen to the scientists and make ending this pandemic his first priority. It’s the right thing to do to honor those we have lost to Trumps recklessness, and it is the path forward to the America we all want for our family and neighbors and our communities." Or some other such treacle. I would blatantly politicize Trump’s pandemic and his reckless killing of almost 200k Americans.
