Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) on Sunday called out members of the Republican Party who have defended Russian President Vladimir Putin as he wages war on Ukraine.
Yep. I wish I had some sort of rubber stamp for when the best of a very bad lot dance almost close enough to decency to feel the warmth. I suppose white nationalism, radical fundie Christianity, and Putin’s money all played a role over the years, but this insanity is about 90 percent because of Trump’s toadying and that would be nice to point out.
The last time I saw something as courageous as Mitt Romney, it was lime-flavored, made by Jell-O, and served to me in a cup while I was in the hospital with pneumonia in 2004.
Yeah, Mittens seems to think that all of this pro-Putin/pro-white nationalist/anti-democracy sentiment now widely evident in the politicians and the base of the Republican Party has just magically sprung out of the ether like it was conjured by some kind of Hogwart’s spell, while Trump is the actual reason. Of course, Mittens being the usual Mittens doesn’t have the cojones to place the blame where it truly belongs. CNN would have been better off asking Rafalca.
