Alleged Capitol Attacker Was Wearing ‘I Was There’ Shirt When Arrested, Feds Say | Talking Points Memo

Garret Miller didn’t provide a statement to police when he was arrested at his Dallas home on Jan. 16. His shirt did most of the talking.

Stupid is as stupid does.

I’d laugh but that would be rude.

“I don’t feel that I’ve done anything wrong and now I’m being locked up.”

Of course you don’t. The sense of privilege these traitors feel just astounds me.

Sheesh. Let he who hath never invaded a federal building violently be the one to cast the first stone.

Have more compassion.

An extreme ‘attention neediness’ runs through the DNA of Trump and the Trumpers. That same DNA strand also includes ‘self-righteousness’ and ‘stupidity.’

I read somewhere recently where much of this behavior has roots in mental illness.

Skimmed over a story somewhere this morning. The gist was damned few of the insurrectionists will ever spend time behind bars, except for the few doing so awaiting rulings on various motions or actual trials. Seems prosecutors have neither the stomach nor the confidence they can convince judges and juries what they did merits prison. Went so far to speculate much of what went on, as committed by most in the crowd, was merely a form of extremely agitated, unruly, vandal ridden free speech.

Sheesh.

What embarrasses the admin about 'Dollar might collapse. . . . civil war could start" and “They are right next time we bring the guns” and “Assassinate AOC.” It’s not like he got arrested for being a state legislator and knocking on the door of a chamber where a major bill was being signed.

“Knocking While Black”

Soon to be a felony in Georgia, Arkansas and Florida.

Oh, and giving food or water to a person knocking while black results in summary execution, on the spot.

What I find bewildering but maybe not surprising is how many of these insurrectionists came from Dallas and it’s suburbs. It’s as if they’re modern day Mink coat rioters.
Funny how in my congressional district represented by democratic socialist Ocasio Cortez the folks don’t have the time to engage in, say plotting an insurrection since they’re too busy getting their lives back in order after the coronavirus, working and taking care of their families.

‘ Judge Robert Wilkins of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit wrote that Jan. 6 presented “a unique opportunity to obstruct democracy,” and he doesn’t believe that Munchel and Eisenhart pose a significant threat outside of that one-off context. Federal agents have been investigating whether Munchel planned to take lawmakers hostage with his cuffs, but, so far, no evidence of such plans has emerged.’

As a comparison the American Johnny Taliban fellow who got swept up in Afghanistan after 9/11 got 20 years. He was released early a couple of years ago.
He was far from being a threat like this guy and the other insurrectionists. In the hue and cry after 9/11 they wanted some heads to roll including a wayward young man. I thought at the time that 10 years max would have been a just sentence for him.
