Laugh or vomit: blurb from a book about Dumpy from one of his sycophants, I’m not listing the title or author. If you want it that bad, go get it yourself. (Hint: End each sentence with a loud HA! for full effect)
In _______, a former ---------- who has covered Trump for years, explain the forty-fifth president’s business and political strategies in detail. Often what looks complicated is just a man giving the people what he wants. For instance, why would Trump run for president, when winning would be a financial disaster for him? He was forced to set aside his TV contracts and international expansion, costing him hundreds of millions of dollars. The answer is: because everyone he talked to wanted him to run to make America great again.
In this book we see a man barely recognizable from the media’s depiction. We see the deliberate and cunning reasons he scolds people, gets impatient with complicated briefings, hires neophytes, and starts fights in the media. We also see a boss who was hard-working (ha!), fun (ha!), well read (HA!), generous with opportunities (Ha!), and endlessly interested in outside opinions (HAHAHAHAHAHA!).
Well every time I did an appeal I threw in a paragraph on that just in case.
There are certain things you just argue because you generally can. Doesn’t mean the appellate court is going to agree with you. On the contrary. hahahahahahahahahaha
I am so grateful that Senator Suzy Collins knew that Little Donnie was about to become a real live boy and stop all his bad behavior. Just imagine what it would be like if he just continued to act like a spoiled 3rd grade bully.
Well originally I thought the comment said appeal on that basis not a mistrial and I think it’s way too late for a mistrial motion. They have to be made within a certain time frame.
I never represented the person at trial so I was free to read the trial and claim the trial lawyer fucked up and I usually did and they usually didn’t care - it was always worth a shot and never won an appeal that I did.
Trying to think like a ratfucker here. Low confidence in my ability to do so. But…
I think here’s how a guy like Stone might think. Let my lawyers let this person onto the jury. Wait for the right moment to let Trump know that she hates him. Sit back and let mad Donnie do the rest. Pardon on the way.
Um. Is anything else happening in Washington? I always worry when it’s this noisy that something really bad is happening behind the scenes to climate control, entitlements, foreign policy, trade compacts, NATO, etc etc etc
“But Trump’s claim also lacks founding in reality, and ignores the numerous chances that Stone and his defense attorneys had to examine all potential jurors in the case.”
Not only that, but if they were 1/2 way decent and experienced, Stone’s lawyers should have had a pretty good sense at the end of jury selection as to who would be selected as foreperson - at least have had it narrowed down to a couple of the jurors. This wasn’t some stealth Ninja jury foreperson bending the others to her will. Besides, the evidence was pretty overwhelming or you wouldn’t get unanimous convictions on all counts.
We are turning into a corporation’s dream–the banana republics they ruled for 100 years. They ruled these in the 20th century, now they are turning to America–low paying jobs, increasing homelessness, polarizing society, seizing of judicial system, mass incarceration, robbing treasury and pension systems, etc. This has been true for years; both parties have been complicit; Trump is finishing the job. America is collapsing. We could save it, but it would take radical policies that few are ready for, so buckle up. We, like the many collapsed empires before us, will learn the hard way.
OT: but @tena have you seen this from Thornberry? He’s not running in 2020 but is now free to say what he thinks. Click on pictwitter to see Thornberry’s statement.
