Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill ® epitomizes the kind of “Good Ole Boy” arrogance that seems to pervade the Rethuglican party, especially in the South. Apparently they have completely lost sight in the fact the the essence of a “civil servant” is service. We the people do not serve John Merrill, quite the contrary . . .

So I really have this theory that white people were an anomaly in human color when we first happened and we were actually the ones being persecuted because we were rare and primitive people of color assumed something was wrong with us. And so the only ones of us that survived were the ones that were very violent toward anyone that wasn’t total like us. And that’s why we evolved into the racist fucks we still are today.

I’d be happy to meet this ass and teach him the manners which were apparently neglected during his Southern upbringing.

Even Republicants in Alabama worry that if all could vote, without being suppressed in one or more ways, they may NOT win the vote.

In most states, the Repugs simply cannot win on a level playing field.

Yet in many places they hold onto minority rule (which allows them to hold it at the U.S. Senate level) because in my view they realized at least 3 decades ago the power of having control of the state legislatures, instead of focusing so much at the national level.

Just being an armchair quarterback . . .

Though it’s Tuberville vs Sessions, I’m so happy that Merrill copped a ‘L’.
