Curious to hear if judge Cannon has been getting any threats. All of the other judges assigned to tfg’s cases have been getting them. Wonder what the difference is?

Mary Margaret Olohan

INBOX: Marianne Williamson says she’s “unsuspending” her presidential campaign: Dear Friends, As of today, I am unsuspending my Presidential campaign. All of us have noticed America’s political dynamics are moving in a disturbing direction. Donald Trump’s power is on the incline, and President Biden’s is on the decline. More and more people are saying the quiet part out loud: that despite the fact that the President deserves credit for many of his accomplishments, he is clearly a weak candidate to defeat Donald Trump in 2024. I, however, am not. My ability to arouse in Americans the angels of our better nature is the most powerful antidote to Trump’s dark and authoritarian vision.

Sometimes I just can’t believe that the people elected to govern this state are so far out there… I can’t imagine what would be happening here if Kari Lake hadn’t been defeated for governor. Good thing Katie Hobbs will be there to veto it if gets it gets that far. Maybe, just maybe, one of the legislative houses will lose the Republican majority in the next election cycle.

Planet Fuckers!

“People are not being told the truth about what the impacts are from making this transition [to net zero greenhouse gas emissions],” he said. “They’re being scared, purposely frightened by the demagoguery that is oblivious to the facts or distorting the facts. And in some cases outright lying is going on.”

Political leaders must be guided by the science of the climate crisis and reject the calls for delay, he said. “We have politics now entering into this – fighting for delay and fighting for progress. They’re procrastinating and they’re part of the disinformation crowd that are willing to put the whole world at risk for whatever political motivations may be behind their choices here,” Kerry told the Guardian in an interview in London.

Republican Crime Blotter – Momma, Don’t Raise Your Sons To Be Felons

Maybe – hear us out – maybe the mother of this felonious delinquent should be paying more attention to her family, and not engaging in a carpetbagging run for Congress, or fondling dates in dark theaters:

The 18-year-old son of far-right Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) was arrested on Tuesday afternoon following “a recent string of vehicle trespass and property thefts” in Rifle, Colorado, said police.

Tyler Jay Boebert faces 22 charges.

They include four felony counts of criminal possession of ID documents, one felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony and 15 misdemeanor and petty offenses, Rifle Police Department wrote on Facebook. [snip]

On the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office website, Tyler Boebert on Wednesday morning remained listed as a current inmate at Garfield County Jail.

No bond has been set for his release.

Tyler Boebert became a father for the first time last year.

His Boebert genes already being passed on at the age of 17! He’s following in his mother’s footsteps (she became a “mother” at 18)! Republican family values, Boebert style!

BONUS : Karma is also a bitch.

WUT?!!

A federal judge in Texas has ruled that Congress’ COVID-era proxy voting violated the Constitution’s Quorum Clause, invalidating in this case a major spending bill

Except this was already elevated to SCOTUS with Qevin McCarthy’s lawsuit, back in 2022. Lower court tossed the lawsuit against remote voting, SCOTUS refused to take it up and let the lower court ruling stand.

No clue how this ended up being a reply to @southerndem

Interesting thought
No question, part of what’s driving the “mainstream media” these days is panic over the decline/disintegration of their industry, which they feel powerless to stop.
