Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said on Monday night he is undecided on if he will vote to block Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from sitting on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, once again creating a whip count problem for Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) who’s vowed to oust the Democrat from her committee seat.
My only regret is that Gaetz and McCarthy were born too late to be played by Tony Randall and Jack Klugman in a future comedy based on this congress. Well, okay, one of my regrets.
I asked this before but does anyone else think that refusing to seat Omar on the Foreign Relations Committee is childish and petty? I mean her comments were made 4 years ago, right? Is she still making antisemitic comments on Twitter?
Does McCarthy really think it’s professional to allow members of Congress to post death threats on Twitter?
McQarthy allowed HFC to humiliate him like an S&M slave to get the gavel.
Not surprisingly, they don’t think the paddlings are supposed to stop now that that vote’s been taken.
It’s just the way they roll.
She is/was accused of being an anti-Semitic. The comments/tweets that she put out there were right after she was first seated in Congress. She apologized, and I haven’t seen, heard of her continuing to do so since then.
For a bunch of Christians who are suppose to believe in forgiveness…well petty is petty does.
