AG Bill Barr To Christian Media: Accept God, Reject ‘Collectivist’ Libs | Talking Points Memo

Or perhaps take a quick peek at the First Amendment:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”

One would think that the (actual) chief law enforcement officer of this country would have a fleeting acquaintance with this clause.

Ah then Barr wants to be remembered as one of the instigators of the Second Reformation. It’s always a purity test with these guys.

Is there nothing in the US that isn’t poisoned by the omnipresent, left-right narrative? Setting aside Mr. Barr’s theocratic inclinations, he’s speaking as if he were a character on The Handmaid’s Tale and not the Attorney General.

Our Constitution was written by Deist’s, dickhead, not Christians.

Sure the collectivist agenda of the National Interstate Highway system and rural electrification is antithetical to gods word.

About the same number who know that Christ was a Jew with brown skin.

For Attorney General Bill Barr, the U.S. is beset by problems: non-believers, as well as liberals who believe in a “collectivist agenda.”

So, what was United We Stand all about?

"…and affirmatively use government power to promote a culture of disbelief.”

Translation: It’s terrible that public schools teach that the earth is 4.5 billion years old, not the 6,000 years old that Biblical Literalists claim.

That would be a grease spot requiring a whole dump truck of sand to begin making the road safe for the rest of us again.

Yes, but you’re referencing a time when the US Constitution actually had meaning.

Hard to picture such an empty suit when one appears sausage like inside one. That being said, I’m astounded at FuBarr’s religious dishonesty or stupidity (perhaps intentionally). Apparently Barr is not in touch with the history of religion, the constitution and where - as AG - he’s supposed to fit in with all of this. Ignorance, willful or otherwise is still ignorance. Apologies if I sound too intolerant.

Fuck you and the god you rode in on.

Bill Barr and those who agree with him are, whether they are white or not, White Nationalist Christian Fascists – which encompasses being raving lunatics. What a sick bastard.

I believe you could call Plymouth Rock a collective or a commune if you will. Religious zealots can’t get over the sixties and hippies. Case in point, Josh Hawley, latest (idiot) senator from Missouri, blamed the moral decay in America on hippies.

Republican senators cant dance and if they cant dance they’re no friends of mine…

White evangelical christianity here is really just a right wing social-economic/political/white-cultural-dominance belief system built almost entirely around identity politics now, that it has little to nothing to do with the bible anymore.

“collectivist” = another shorthand for commie. We’re back to the 1950’s.
He knows his audience and exactly what he’s doing.

I was called a Marxist by a draft dodger when I criticized Trump. Too cowardly to call me a commie.
To Trumpians, libs = commies, collectivists, Marxists. Take your pick.

I say, we can go where we want to, a place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind,
And we can dance

And Barr will present you with the Bible, God’s word trumps Man’s.

Nope, not the Second Reformation.

He wants the Counter-Reformation with a latter-day Torquemada as Grand Inquisitor.
Pile up the kindling by the stakes.
