The Army is providing Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman and his family security assistance to help with the “public attention” after his testimony in the impeachment inquiry Tuesday.

It is truly a f**king shame that it’s necessary.

It is a sad state of affairs that Vindman and his family have to suffer at the hands of the despicable Republican party because of his honorable acts. I hope the military is watching and eventually understand that the GOPers are friends to no one but themselves and their rich donors (that includes Putin).

I suppose if Vindman was black he’d be cautioned to avoid trees.

My doctor is not a stupid man, but back after the election I told him it was stressing me out and he said he didn’t have a dog in the fight because he hadn’t voted for anyone, reason being "I couldn’t vote for her." OK, Doc McG., but now we have NSC staffers in danger from Trump’s loutish, brutal minions because they did their jobs defending this nation against enemies foreign and domestic. Maybe you could have not voted for that somehow. Thanks ever so much.

63,000,000 of your fellow citizens don’t view it as a shame.

This is disgusting. I hope someone (Schiff) asks the Rethugs if this is the kind of country they really want when true blue patriots like Vindman have to be protected just because they do their duty. I can’t stomach these times and morals (tempora et mores).

Vindman is correct when he says the truth matters. He shouldn’t even have to say it. He did the right things in his reaction to the phone call between trump and Zelensky. And they were things that, oddly, the GOPers would want done in the way he did them. So now the right attacks him. Yep, makes sense…

Amerika- where a hero has his safety threatened by the President.

Thanks, GOPutin, for shoving trump down our throats.

Right, not voting means that whatever happens isn’t your fault. At least some of Trump’s votes came from people who “wanted to see a change”. That shows the amount of consideration and thought they gave to the election. It is like dropping a bowling ball off a tall building. You aren’t exactly sure what is going to happen but anyone with the capacity of independent thought would know that you shouldn’t do it.

I don’t think there’s any hope for these people. Their “minds” are not going to be changed, and their party needs to go. Of course, if it was a Dem POTUS they were looking at they would be thinking exactly the opposite of what they are now.
This is probably one of the biggest eye openers for me and one that makes me hate what we have become.

It’s a form of cognitive dissonance that I just can’t understand.

Well there’s your problem- true-blue patriots. They would have to be true-red patriots to be safe.

I’m hoping they’re doing the same for his twin brother and family. These nincompoops couldn’t tell the difference with a name tag.

Lets hope the Army supplied security isn’t headed by Golsteyn and Lorance, two of the three war criminals recently pardoned by trump.

Guess I’m old fashioned. This is what I know the term to mean:

The Lt. Col. served in a combat zone honorably and comes home not to peace but needing protection from threats coming from Trump’s actions; but the three soldiers who committed war crimes are pardoned by Trump and live in peace.
It’s all backwards.

Like maybe in his opening statement today.

Schiff should do with this exactly what he did with the intimidation tweet last week - call it out, make it part of the record and let them know the whole world is watching.

Not quite that many, but over 65.8 million do.

The same president who pardons convicted war criminals.
