Hundreds of AMC movie theaters planning on opening in mid-July will require audiences to wear masks after all.
Wow, TPM comments are more influential than I thought…
Mask or not, mandatory or not, there’s no way I’m going into a theater anytime soon. And tbh, AMC already made their position clear…if they don’t care about their customers, I guess I don’t need to care about their financial survival by giving them any more money.
Cowards.
Even Aaarnold Schwarzenegger, that famous actor, says wear a mask and stop the political crap:
I’m thinking about a snorkel with a breathing tube that pulls air through a virus filter. Comes with a face mask, also, to cover the nose. Then maybe I’ll go see a movie, but only if it’s a good one. Wait, there are almost no good ones. Guess it’s back to Netflix!
Leadership!
This is a Trump Repudiation.
It does make you wonder if he talked with anyone about the whole thing. He’s got enough money that his employees and guests (and, hey, they’re dumb enough to go see the crap we put out) can go to hell.
AMC was worried about the sudden interest in drive-ins.
“The speed with which AMC moved to revise our mask policies is a reflection of our commitment to the safety and health of our guests,” the company added.
And the speed with which I put the candy bar back in the box after the store cop saw me put it in my pocket reflects my commitment to not stealing stuff. Dude, you blew off safety and health because some MAGA loudmouths would undoubtedly give the ticketsellers a hard time and nobody else in line would have the nads to say shut up. That’s obvious. So don’t even bother. The public cares about its safety and health. You don’t.
I go! I miss them!
Round and round and round she goes, where she stops, nobody knows!
It was your fogging problem that put it over the top…
How big a hole in the mask is recommended to successfully insert a piece of popcorn into your mouth?
Isn’t that where the real money is?
“The speed with which AMC moved to revise our mask policies is a reflection of our commitment to the safety and health of our guests,”
Yeah right. It’s a reflection of how fast your bean counters determined the policy was a money loser and that appeasing the wing nuts was a net negative when you factor in how many normal folks it would drive off.
I think you could enlarge the mask to where it’d be like a horse’s feed bag, and kill two birds there. Load it up at the beginning of the flick and you’re all set.
Sounds like a variation of the old Corn in the Horn popcorn surprise!
You’re welcome. They didn’t want me to show up naked, again.
AMC has film shorts.
