After NC Rally, Trump’s ‘Go Back’ Rhetoric Will Morph Into Staple Of 2020 Campaign

During his 2020 campaign rally in North Carolina on Wednesday evening, President Trump, predictably, could not let his venom toward four congresswomen of color go, inciting the crowd of supporters to erupt into a racist chant that the President did nothing to quell.

If this is how Trump kicks off his 2020 campaign then I’m not sure I want to think about how it will look one year from now. Shock jocks need to perpetually push the envelope further to keep their fans interested.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (whom he just called “Cortez” because the full name “takes to much time”), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ayanna Pressey — to “leave.”

I thought her name was ‎Ayanna Pressley. Not Pressey.Trump made a joke about her being related to Elvis last night and that’s how her Twitter account spells it.

It is all he has, and it is sickening.

And sadly, it just might be enough to narrowly win an electoral contest again if he does not push it too far.

Tell us something we don’t already know. I mean they’re just repeating the 2016 crap

Lock Her Up -> Send Her Back
Build The Wall -> Finish The Wall

Not to mention they played a bit of that during RMS last night and it was very lackluster, dull, lifeless.

He has allready pushed to far. It is beyond me that he has lasted this long. His supporters love to hate.

Exactly, just like lock her up worked in 2016, send her back will become the go to REPUG bumper sticker.

Regardless, the number of voters that go for Trump is going to be depressing.

People can apparently get addicted to being angry. It has all the earmarks of drug addiction except that the chemicals involved are produced by the body and a significant percentage of US citizens (mainly older whites) are clearly badly addicted to it. They won’t give up Trump unless they can kick their addiction to anger and that doesn’t seem likely for most of them, which would explain the unwavering level of support for him, no matter what he does. The only answer is to beat them at the polls.

Pretty much every one on this site, at least those who comment, has a common response - disgust, depression, fury - toTrump and what he’s doing and who he is. What’s the most effective way to defuse this latest offensiveness? I keep trying to think of some way to turn the slogans around as a start. Or how to make every media outlet simply ignore his tweets and offensive comments (not likely).
I have one issue that I haven’t seen addressed anywhere, although i am sure someone is looking: now that he has declared he is campaigning for President again in 2020, who is paying for these rallies? Is this money from the US treasury, or Trump’s campaign funds? Can he use AirForce 1 for free? Who is doing the planning? At what point does a fake ‘presidential’ purpose supposedly justifying the use of public funds to travel somewhere get questioned? I am damned if I want one tiny fraction of a cent of my tax dollars going to support these Hitlerian love fests.

So can the media finally quit clutching their pearls and finally call these assholes the Nazis they are?

We finally hit the American version of chants of “Juden Raus!”

What will it take next? Concentration Camps?.. oops! Too late!

It’s worth noting that the reason — the only reason — this racist rally was scheduled was to steal the news cycle from Mueller’s testimony which was originally scheduled to take place yesterday.

He declared his candidacy on Jan. 20, 2017. In fact, he created his campaign committee while he was giving his inaugural diatribe so he could start fleecing the rubes, which he’s done non-stop ever since.

As to who’s paying? It’s supposed to be his campaign. But … when has Toadglans ever paid a bill?
(Paying off porn stars et al. notwithstanding.)

It will become their bumper sticker/mindless chant but, i don’t think it will work in 2020 anymore than demonizing Nancy Pelosi in the 2018 mid-terms helped the GOP.

The GOP always need a woman to vilify/demonize, HRC, Pelosi, Warren, AOC, etc
