Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla on Tuesday said that the pharmaceutical giant ramped up production of its two-dose COVID-19 vaccine and can deliver 10 percent more doses to the U.S. than it previously agreed to produce by the end of May.
What percentage of Americans 16 and older is iffy about getting vaccinated? 300 million would be 150 million 1st and 2nd doses by mid-July. Will enough Americans get vaccinated to use all of them (plus Moderna)? (I’m getting my 1st dose, tomorrow…)
And somehow we need to convince the 45% of white evangelicals who say they will not get the vaccine to rethink (they think?) their position. That attitude is absolutely crazy, and in my view, decidedly UN-Christian.
Sadly, I am utterly convinced that COVID-19 already is endemic.
It’s here to stay.
It’s only a question of the frequency of booster shots.
I hope I am proven wrong.
And we control it that way and keep it from being an epidemic. We kept measles under control for decades until the anti-vaxxers appeared.
They’re doing research with these RNA vaccinations and they are saying (saw it on 60 Minutes) that they expect to find a way to wipe out every one of these coronaviruses, including head colds in the not too distant future.
