Admin Plans Pandemic Response Office | Talking Points Memo

As with everything else from this admin, this is about “messaging” and pr. The fact that it will be under Pompeo just makes that more apparent. I imagine this committee barking out “Look at how many tests! Look at our lower death rates! Look at this shiny new object!”

It’s a Trump talking point.

Yea, right. And then Trump’s Grand Finale:

Watch Bunker Boy start bitching that he is not getting any credit for putting in an office we ALREADY HAD to handle the pandemic

This guys attempt to copy Obama also sucks.

Usually when someone copies an initiative or strategy someone else has undertaken, they try and eliminate the mistakes the pioneer encountered.

The Trump administration is so ineffective, they not only can’t do that, they add problems that didn’t exist in the original in the first place.

Oh dear, that’s the wrong robot. Awkward.

Isn’t this par for the course for Trump? He destroys a thing, tries to reinstate it, then takes credit.

The Trump administration is reportedly planning to launch an office.
Is this the one he was talking about earlier with a MARs address?
be about the same effect. spacey at best.

This is nuts and why even bother with this charade? Just two days ago he said the virus was going to disappear (for the umpteenth time). This has Jared Kushner all over it. Throw spaghetti up against the wall to make it look as if you are working on stuff. It took 130,000 deaths for Jared to realize things are nor OK?

Strangely. I’m ok with this. I shouldn’t be, but the payoff naturally will be Mrs. Gilmartin (press secretary) hobbling Pompeo, when this office fails.

Jarvanka will likely be in charge. That alone means it’ll fail.

Good thinking. Bold move. Way to think inside the box.

The ‘new’ office could work, if

A ) they are given ground rules and a mandate that would at least protect them from WH interference.

B ) Trump is prevented from interfering.

Anyone see the problem?

Umm, are you listening to me think out loud, via my phone or laptop?

I litterally said the same thing. And, I add … if only the Obama Administration has done any pandemic prep planning that they could have handed off to the Trump people. If only, oh wait, they did.

One more for the road, OH FFS.

How Trump Could Lose the Election—And Still Remain President

Unlikely IMO, but possible.
