I think it’s beyond just Me Too personal conduct though. His on air behavior has been disgusting for decades and this primary it finally caught up to him.

In 2005, he openly wondered whether the troops would “take the orders” from a female president; after another interview, he pinched Clinton’s cheek; and in another, he suggested that she had only had so much political success because her husband had “messed around.” This evening anchor, in addition to everything else, has repeatedly challenged whether women are legitimate politicians or could be president at all. “I was thinking how hard it is for a woman to take on a job that’s always been held by men,” he said of Clinton in 2006.”

Does it include a pamphlet telling everyone how to tell apart Russian and Ukranian accents? Because we know that Russians only have our nation’s best interests at heart, while Ukrainians will work hard to make our Russian allies look bad.

Awesome, that’s good news. Matthews was not just horrible, but a glaring example of how toxic the national media has become to our democracy.
He lost that sense of what he once might have had a long time ago when he worked for Tip, and became a voice of privilege and mediocrity and the lowest common denominator. He is the epitome of teevee clickbait, and good riddance to what he has become.
Right. It doesn’t really fit the pattern of increasing subservience.
