Admin Can’t Confirm ‘Specific’ Iran Threat Intel | Talking Points Memo

If not specific ones, how about delusional fantasy-based ones?

As long as they are Repugs.

Question the fuck out of them endlessly if they are Democrats.

(I know - it really goes without saying. But I said it anyway. hahahaha)

Fake News! Trump only said four because he didn’t want to reveal his sources, but the correct number is ONE MILLION embassies that were moments away from being blown up had Trump not personally killed Soleimani using his mental karate. Don’t ask any questions or it’ll be TWO million embassies.

Seriously, at what point will the media stop playing along with this nonsense? Asking if Trump was embellishing is a joke. Ridiculous claims require proof or they should be assumed false. But if you think truth is objective and understand that people can lie, you can’t work for the corporate media because you’ll spoil all their fun. This is just a game to them and anyone who actually cares is a liberal extremist.

More and more it’s being shown what a fricking load of crap this administration is. They can’t get their stories straight because the head liar keeps changing his.

Nancy…Adam! Nancy…Adam! Nancy…Adam!

I love it when the grownups get to speak.

I think just asking the question at this point indicates that they’re not playing along. They can’t go on air and say, look what a dumb shit claim he made now. But they are allowing denials across the board.

Sometimes coverage is not so good and the narrative works against us. But right now, I think we’re good.

“We’re not going to cut and run every time somebody threatens us.”

No, we wouldn’t want to act so rashly. So instead we just assassinated a top goverment official and nearly started a war.

I don’t believe that Trump believed such a thing until after the fact when he uttered that nonsense at his Friday night campaign rally.

And then backed right back down because that’s what the Coward in Chief always does.

Oops, guessing that this was launched by a militia group. How will POTUS react to this? It is an Iraqi base not the American Embassy.

They really want us out.

And they really loved Soleimani.

Unless some part of the government is telling you something that those in charge don’t like, in which case they’re subversive members of the Deep State plotting a coup, even if they’re the exact same people you’re told to trust in another case.

“There was no intelligence that supported Trump but Trump believed” is the same defense they are using with Ukraine colluding with the Clinton campaign, therefore his intent was to root out corruption and not to smear Biden.

I’ve only seen it used in a comparable way in medical contexts. Exquisite pain is something I’ve seen before.

Maybe Esper goes to his orthopedist alot.

Speaking of President McConnell there’s a new book out from a WaPo writer Ruth Marcus about the Kav hearing and the shameful behavior of the nominee and all the Rs who turned a blind eye but instead trashed Blasey-Ford. Mitch didn’t mind enduring the criticism because he called himself “strong as mule piss.”

There used to be erudite, quotable figures in the senate, but those days are gone.

In the Trump administration, “exquisite intel” is the same as “exquisite lying.”

both esper and o’brien used the term “exquisite intelligence”. nobody talks like that and yet here in a matter of an hour i hear it twice. who could possibly come up with such a buffoonish remark … oh, i think i’ve got an idea.

True and he made it up. Just frickin’ made it up and now cabinet members have to rationalize his lies, fabrications, and delusions. Trump is unwell and these people are covering for him and covering-up for him.

Their choice of words…that they “believe” rather than they know…is the tell. This construction and choice of words is deliberate, as you can believe anything you want in a court of law without consequence. Nobody can prove what you believe. You can believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. But if you say you know something, or that you were told something…that can have legal consequences as it now becomes a question of fact.

I’m not a TV watcher, but I thought the only shows these creeps were on was faux news. Are they branching out? Trying to convert the masses to the endless BS?
I’m a wee bit weary of it all.
