Just want to remind people that there are very few treatments for the Trump/Pence virus. Steroids and Ventilators. And they are only supportive, not curative. They also cost $$.
I’m gonna call it the Trump/Pence Recession, too.
One of the Presidential candidates is trying to do something more effective about this.

I’ve got a retired nurse I went to high school with who’s screaming blood and guts that the press doesn’t have a medical degree and, since Dr. Drew says so, the press should just shut up about it.
I countered that the HHS head, Pence and Trump don’t have medical degrees either and they’re talking about this every day.

Just ask what would the Republicans & Trump do if this was Obama in charge…
I am nominating this for the official “theme song” of the Trump/Pence Virus (aka COVID-19). Because: 1) we we are truly living on one, and 2) there is a ship full of people floating around Mexico right now that can’t find a port that will allow it to disembark their passengers.
Completely agree with your sentiments it would be awesome if he contracts it and is part of that 2%.

Has he given up on his mission to make other things worse by taking the money from them? He should have learned that when you cut public health funding, it comes back to bite you. If there is an Ebola scare after he gets finished cutting their funding, he will then blame someone else.
In general vaccines are not money makers. That’s why the government has to plead with pharmaceutical houses to develop and make them.

There are a whole bunch of other nasties that he could get ranging from amoebiasis to leishmaniasis.
There’s gonna be a high demand for this vaccine I bet. Folks are worked up about COVID-19 if cnn is any indicator. One thing is absolutely clear though. trump’s denial does no favors for our response. Nor did his blanket firing of most all of our experts in this sort of medical crisis response back in 2018. The reason? Obama. Anything Obama touched, according to trump, must be undone, destroyed, removed… no matter how useful or important it may turn out to be.
Not to mention the “two step” poops from a simple change in gut bacteria if he ate any local veggies or drank any water, or even touched a surface and then rubbed his eyes. One can conjure up all sorts of scenarios.
Tourism touches an amazing array of businesses large and small, from the international to the down home, from the biggest cities to scenic country roads. The economy should feel that squeeze pretty soon…and everywhere.
Late: Spring break is starting, at least for schools east of the Mississippi, and the list goes on from there.
In my State of CA, they’re anchoring the national response. At the local level, county officials are getting ‘keep it real’ briefings on the Corona virus. It’s already here in the US. It’s real. Discount whatever Trump/Pence are telling you.
