What these broadcasters are going to have to do is put together a huge litigation against the FCC and force the agency to document exactly how they have violated their public interest. Historically, not all Presidential speeches have been broadcast. These are done at the discretion of the broadcasters, not by force, as this is not state television (yet).
The letters from the thousands of viewers and groups calling out this whole thing as poppycock will be ignored because they are not consistent with Carr’s beliefs (and therefore those of the President).
It would be nice if Congress would take a stand, but that’s asking far too much.

Brendan Carr does not give a sweet shit about public interest. He only serves one master, and that master cares not at all for the public interest–in fact, finding another human being as self-serving as the Dumbass In Chief would likely be a near-insurmountable challenge. Brendan Carr invoking the interest of the public is a sad, sick joke.
