Abbott: We Need Rio Grande Buoys To Protect From Invasion

You can take our Rio Grande buoys from our cold, dead hands, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) told the Biden administration in a Monday letter.

It would seem with Governor “Hot Wheels” that the cruelty is in fact, the point. “Invaded”? By people who want to work sub-minimum wage jobs that Americans won’t take?? This is a sick individual, my friends. And I hope the DoJ does bring him to court over this. Immigration matters are controlled by the Congress, not the Texas Rangers.

The GOP remains in the grip of the Proud Buoys.

I remember grade school lessons where we were taught that brown people made up what are now the southwest states. Only now we need protection from them because they’re deemed to be invaders? California, Arizona even Tejas are not Anglo words. DOJ must act to stop Hot Wheels.

@epicurus San Francisco industry would come to a halt without immigrants, legal or otherwise.

I can’t wait until we learn that an intrepid individual with a pair of bolt cutters rendered the barrier completely useless and sets the whole mess of buoys adrift down the river.

Great privilege allows one to be totally ridiculous and/or ignorant.

When’s Abbott going to do something about the people who exploit immigrant labor? I wonder the impact if there were ever a serious and legitimate crackdown on using and abusing immigrant labor.

Never miss an opportunity to dehumanize immigrants to score sadistic politic points.

How about if it’s just for politics?

I can’t read this stuff about defying President Biden wanting to save lives, and the defiance by this puny, fucked-up manchild who thinks he’s big shit on wheels because he uses his state’s taxpayers’ money to fight all his stupid battles…I’m trying to digest dinner after all. Between Abbott and Kay Ivey, I don’t know which is worse at this point. Defying the President seems to be the new thing to prove their Wingnut bona fides. Ivey is trying to nullify or just ignore the Supreme Court decision and is George Wallace all over again imo.

Frankly, I got indigestion from all this shit. I worry too much over things. I better go walk the dog for the last time today to clear my head.

Can’t Abbott simply be arrested, being caught in such a flagrantly criminal – and potentially murderous – act? Send in federal forces to remove the illegal barrier, and federal law enforcement to detain Abbott pending trial.

No more federal funding of any type

Until now, the Biden administration has mostly held back on taking the bait.

Yes, little morsels of batshit-crazy-fascism just dangling there, waiting for some kind of Godzilla v. Bambi moment…

Alabama, bringing back Nullification.

It should be reminded that the Supreme Court case that gutted the VRA and effectively ended pre-clearance was brought by Shelby County, Alabama.

I wonder if Roberts will ever regret his decision in that case.

Until now, the Biden administration has mostly held back on taking the bait. The DOJ gave Abbott a 1 p.m. deadline to remove the barriers.

Abbott chose instead to reply to President Biden with the Monday letter, saying that “Texas would see you in court, Mr. President.”

If I were Biden, I would have the military remove the Buoys and have Abbott sue.

That is in my view it is wimpy for the President to sue over what a Governor is doing in regard to immigration and a borders especially when that border is a body of water.

Rather, as President Biden should just do and let Abbott take Biden to court.

Scoop 'em out, pile 'em up around the Governor’s Mansion in Austin.

Nope…it’s the grip of Trump. (Still based in racism though)

This is Abbot’s shadow Presidential campaign for the GOP nomination…, Like the rest doing and saying news worthy racist shit but instead Abbott is smart enough not to announce as to not have Trump staty trashing him.

Abbott will announce when/if Trump drops and note how loyal he was, promise a pardon and the Nod is his…
