A Tribute To The Power Of Democratic Women

As Hillary Clinton reminded viewers on the third night of the Democratic Convention, it has been an especially exhausting four years for women.

“I know a predator when I see one,”

Right you are…in fact that predator sends well wishes to another sexual predator while attacking the nasty women who dares to challenge him! And that predator protected and elevated other accused predator!

McCaskill said tonight that at the GOP convention they’re going to go after the immigrant, the people who don’t look like them, and anyone who isn’t a Christian. There is no gathering people together with them, so it will be interesting to see what the Chaos and Hate President pull out of his ass.
These 3 nights have brought the joy and pride back to this country. And to continue that joy and pride all one has to do is vote, on 11/03/20.

“The package on domestic violence opened with Ruth Glenn, CEO of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, telling her story in a flat tone, devoid of emotion. ‘In 1992, my husband shot me and left me for dead,’ she said.”

“Coming up next on the Sean Hannity Show: Why she had it coming!” – Lou Dobbs, probably.

Great article Kate Riga! So much to be said —and I’m sure the TPM commenters will say it!

It was another good night. Barack Obama still has it! Talks straight and with charm. Damn, I love him! How did those 8 years go so fast? Kamala has it too. Charisma, intellect, dedication, perseverance, and respect for the common good. Go Kamala!

Come to think of it, was Obama our “first woman president”?

“She should have made him a better dinner.”

A Tribute To The Power Of Democratic Women

As a man I am perfectly at easy with women running the whole thing. I really don’t mind if Joe is too senile and Kamala has to take over. I would have preferred Elizabeth, but Kamala is fine as well. I like the fact that she uses her maiden surname and I really wish that the sexist tradition of “married surname” goes away as it has in most European countries and in Latin America as well.

Did I tell you that I only have daughters?

I’m normally very hesitant to challenge anyone’s beliefs, but since Republicans have made a habit of it, let me say this. If being Christian means following Christ’s teachings, they aren’t Christian. And if it doesn’t mean that, perhaps they can explain what it does mean.

I don’t know where people gets these kind of ideas. Everybody knows that being is christian means slaughtering Muslims, persecuting Jews, burning heretics and enslaving pagans and primitive people. Ah, don’t forget stoning them queers.

That is why I am a follower of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, she is a supreme being confident of her own divinity and doesn’t require the persecution of infidels.

Why exactly do you feel a need to come on here and spread a RW meme about the Democratic nominee?

We need to be vigilant about the stealth trolls.

Or even just about absorbing the nutter propaganda because it’s everywhere and sneaks into our ways of thinking. If you’re surrounded by an ideology 24/7 it colonizes you, whether you believe in it rationally or not.

Frances Fitzgerald wrote about this kind of infection in Cities on a Hill 30+ years ago, and truer than ever.

Such is Kamala’s reputation as a tough prosecutor, the campaign felt they had to feature her family connections to humanize her. It was a terrific speech that obviously showed off her kind and gentle nature.

Trump shouldn’t take heart from the speech. She is still tough as nails.

To be fair, Christians also slaughtered Christians regularly for being different kinds of Christians. Inquisition…persecution of Hugenots…Mary Tudor…

Those fall under the category of “Heretics”. There was a crusade against the Cathars in southern France (Albigensian Crusade), which is well documented and was extremely murderous. It gives you an idea of what kind of atrocities Christians committed against muslims in Levant and pagans in the Baltics.

It certainly does. But Christians had no problem shoving other Christians into the fire, drawing and quartering them, stowing them in prison hulks etc.

It was great! It will be interesting to see the counter programming next week with ‘Trump’s Women’ or whatever demeaning name they called them in 2016. A bunch of dyed, botoxed, enhanced ‘ladies’ who looooooove Donnie.
