Bush was a lot like Trump with the tough act. Both were draft dodgers and Rambo watchers. Tough taking daddy’s boys with a history of failure when on their own. Can you imagine how hard Bush’s folks worked to get a bad ass acronym for customs? Ill bet GW wet his pants when they came up with ICE.
The Department of Homeland Security sounds like a Soviet bureau or National Socialist administration. That term should be disposed of as un-american in tenor. ICE not the way we do things in the USA. That term should have been shit canned by Obama and changed to one less Ramboesque.
America…it’s slipping away.

The forgotten can come to life:
We had a Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill passed by the Senate during the Obama Administration and Boehner’s House rejected it.
The toehold that Trump used to start his abominable campaign used Immigration.

Well, it’s good to know that the institutions formed for the ‘War on Terror’ are being turned to their intended use: saving Donnie from political and/or personal embarrassment.
I don’t think anyone can doubt that Mango Mussolini was terrified that his border policy would be seen as a failure.

As the daughter of immigrants who grew up during the German occupation in WWII, the term Homeland always gives me the creeps - lifted straight out of the fascist/Nazi dictionary.

donald john trump (aka the former guy) is still to this day terrified of “the Browns. the Other”. He even mentioned Haitians bringing HIV/Aids by the boatload to America just recently in Iowa at a rally he held.
He is still just as xenophobic and racist as he ever was. And if he were to get reelected he would certainly exact revenge on any and all perceived enemies large or small. Down to even the doorman who forgot to bow as he passed by “in his greatness”. I live quite close to the Mexican Border so this issue is basically right in my front yard so to speak. I’ve watched border issues come and go for more than half a century.
