In addition to aggressively prosecuting administration lawbreakers (probably everyone, but I’ll accept that a few are just cretins) a major agenda issue for the democrats, assuming they win, must be to Expand. The. Courts. They absolutely must take this issue away from the GOP and completely eliminating the perceived advantage they’re baking in has to be high on the agenda. Without this, they really have nothing to run on from a policy perspective.

Come 2021, there’s going to be a need for a lot of judicial impeachment to occupy the Senate, should we get a sweep of the Confederate White People’s Treason Party out of office. Every one of the Federalist Society nazi scum listed by the ABA as “unqualified” (most of them) to start with.

The NRA effectively uses a scorecard to keep senators in line with respect to gun control. Is there some kind of scorecard that tracks decisions that judges make? If not there should be one for judges and a separate one for senators’ confirmation decisions.

But I believe that you are short changing the Turtle’s accomplishments. All those judgeships that have been filled had to kept open for the Turtle to fill. It wasn’t that there was a mass of federal judges claim their senior states, thus opening up a slot at the beginning of Trump’s maladministration, it was since the Turtle became Majority Leader. McConnell kept those openings under Obama’s 2 terms unfilled.

200 horrifically corrupt and/or incompetent judges. 200 just like Neomi Rao, or worse. We have to able to fix this, and not just with one blue wave. We need to prevent purely politically-based appointments like these. Period.
I despise McConnell for quite literally destroying our country in the name of his extreme ideology.

A black day for the justice system. We will be suffering with these FedSoc creeps for many years. Thanks again to all those who thought Donald Trump would be a better choice than Hillary Clinton. Let’s not repeat that error this November.

Impeaching these judges won’t work, it takes 67 Senators and Republicans will defend all of them to the death. It will take winning elections for two decades to push the judiciary back to the left, and maybe longer as some of these judges will hold on no matter what. This is likely going to slow the nation down in progressing on many issues, and until the SC goes firmly to the left we’re going to be stuck in that mode.
The lesson here is to vote in Democrats, period…if they aren’t perfect it’s irrelevant, they are better than Republicans. Maybe things will change in a decade or two, but for now there jus is no other option.

Sadly, the only recourse we have is the same approach that failed to get rid of the one who appointed them.
This legacy of evil is McConnell’s greatest joy - and the one thing that makes me almost nauseous with frustration every time I allow myself to think about it.
