A ‘Media Report’ In June Piqued Trump’s Interest In Ukraine Aid. But Which One? | Talking Points Memo

In testimony to Congress last month, career Office of Management and Budget official Mark Sandy testified that President Donald Trump’s interest in a $250 million aid package to Ukraine was piqued by a June “media report.” Within days, Trump’s order to freeze that aid was handed down the chain of command to Sandy and his team.

POTUS is a crank-caller who would fit better in an early-morning tinfoil radio show out West than he does in an office.

Fucking lunatic uncle.

It’s grim evidence of Trump’s empty vessel of intellect that he still believes there’s a physical server moving around, just out of his stubby grasp. Maroon.

Not at all. We physically moved the drives with us to avoid the NSA snagging a copy, which they would have if we transmitted it to Ukraine electronically.

Given Trump’s media diet, it stands to reason that Trump would take himself out in a fair and balanced way.

“Sandy’s testimony raised the question: Which media report caught the President’s attention?”

or was brought to his attention…

by mid June the conspiracy loop was in high gear… my guess: Rudy saw the funds as augmenting the squeeze on Zelensky…

It’s stunning how much time, energy, and resources are wasted on Trump’s lies, delusions, and tantrums. He’s a giant sinkhole of stupidity and sleaze.

Aw crap!
I was hoping to get Kash Patel whispering crazy shit into Trump’s ear with Nunes and Hannity on the phone.
WHERE IS KASH PETAL IN THIS STORY!
Damn it! Get on it TPM. My pop corn is getting cold!
I WANT KASH! I WANT KASH! I WANT KASH!

“We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”

Lest anyone think for one second that what Donald Trump is doing is something new or some aberration, remember the above quote from Karl Rove, vomited forth from his putrid pie hole back in 2004…

One thing’s for sure, the information didn’t come from an official briefing. Those aren’t shown on TV. The man doesn’t read, probably can’t read well.

So, you’re saying that, for the past three years, I’ve just been suffering from the flu?

I’m sure whatever “Media Report” it was, it was on AON, Trump’s favorite Fact-Free-Ass-Kissing outlet.

I think all the discussion about the crank conspiracy theories are probably right. but I think there is something else that has to be added into the mix. Trump cannot STAND for anyone to get something unless he gets a piece of it. If he saw an article that Ukraine was getting $250 Million, I guarantee his first thought was, “What am I getting for all that money? Unless they give me something, there’s no way I am giving them $250 Million.”

Gaetz, Nunes, Jordan…

The current crop of Republicans are scary.

I mean, real, honest-to-God scary. If one of them were to be around, I would draw my children very, very close to me for fear of what harm and abuse these men might feel entitled to do to them.

This is so true. He thinks that because he’s the “boss,” all the money is his to do with as he pleases.
