Blanche and Clayton Own This Mess The responsibility for the Trump DOJ’s unlawful use of subpoenas as a tool of retribution against NYT reporters — for writing about the deficiencies of President Trump’s beloved new Air Force One — falls most heavily on two men: acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and Manhattan U.S. Attorney Jay…

The Trump DOJ is turning into the gang that couldn’t file straight.

Subramanian seems to be zeroing in on this discrete part of the case for potential sanctions because prosecutors admittedly mislead the magistrate judge that issued the non-disclosure order, failing to tell him that the phone subpoenas involved journalists and misrepresenting that the investigation wasn’t public when prosecutors were already engaged with NYT counsel in the case.
Misleading judges by omitting relevant information in seeking subpoenas. Lying to grand juries and dismissing participants that question the prosecutors in the course of their presentation. Its all one of the same thing.
Nothing done under this DoJ and any arm of it, even around the country in other jurisdictions should be seen as a “good faith” effort to get to the truth or seek any kind of justice. Its all tainted by their partisan effort to please trump and to hell with the rest. Indictments from them are nothing more than a clusterfuck of retributive attacks so trumplethinskin’s fees-fees aren’t hurt. I’m so sick of this shit.
Two more fucking years…
Completing this math equation, one in three Americans are uneducated, ill-informed fools.
It’s so sad to think that Blanche and Clayton both stand more than a good chance of being confirmed. I have little or no faith in any Republican Senator to put the kibosh on these nomination. As far as the DoJ hiring incompetents, the fish rots from the head down.
Way back when. I was part of a crew reviewing resumes responding to a RFQ. One of the resumes had a five year hole that only said CIA.
We looked each other and somebody responded he could have been in jail. Who we gonna call?
After the University of Pennsylvania put up an extended fight, the Trump administration withdrew its subpoena for the names and personal information of Jewish people on campus as part of a purported investigation into antisemitism.
Over and above the criminal extortion, I gotta wonder how much this whole “antisemitism” isn’t an effort to invert the methods of the civil rights movement and use them for vindictive retribution against the institutions of a society that tried to quash these vengeance-seekers’ racism.
Number of U.S. Troop Deaths in Iran War Appears Lower on Pentagon Website - The New York Times
On Wednesday, the Pentagon reported on its casualties website that a total of 18 American service members had been killed during the war in Iran.By Thursday, the Defense Department had lowered that number, reporting that 14 American troops had been killed in the war.Three military officials said that one reason behind the change was that the Trump administration decided to remove four service members killed this past weekend from the list — three in Jordan and one in northern Iraq — because their deaths occurred after President Trump declared a cease-fire in the war in April
“Turning into”? Could they ever “shoot straight”?
