Go Gerry!

That “Foreign Government” was Saudi Arabia.

Rumor has it that they booked over 1500 rooms at various hotels and golf courses that were never used. They also own an ENTIRE FLOOR of Trump Tower in NYC that they rarely use for anything.

I guess someone told them about the bedbugs AFTER they already rented the rooms. And they knew they were never going to get their money back from that tight-fisted Fat Ass.

But then, of course, it could just be blatant corruption. But who am I to point a finger at anyone? I’ve committed corrupt acts like this…never.

What’s the over-under on Saudi Arabia?

Oh, who am I kidding. No one will take that bet.

Of course. And I would bet this isn’t the only instance of this bribery scheme. Maybe that’s Don Jr’s role: call foreign governments, trade groups, lobbyists & suggest it’s a nice idea to book & pay for 20 rooms but only use a few. Bottom line builds since no need to clean/service all those extra rooms which are already waaay overpriced.

OT, but interesting.

How’s that love affair working out?

At least the corruption distracts from the stupidity and incompetence.

Trump obviously knew this was going on, or why would they bother? You can’t bribe someone if they don’t realize you’re giving them money.

Off course! Who wants to stay in those tacky, roach infested places? They probably preferred to stay at the Motel 6 Studio.

Far more profitable to book rooms, but not use them. $$$s got straight to the bottom line with no non-overhead costs. But hey, who is the government (uae? Saudi? Egypt?) and what is the Trade group (oil?, nra?). I think we need to know rep Connelly…

How do you spell emoluments?

Sounds like we need to indict some Saudi officials for bribery. The next Dem administration better put them on notice that they are now on a short leash and they better come clean with all the corruption they witnessed/were part of with Trump.

And if the hotel management knew then they adjusted their staffing level, thus they saved on payroll. Pure profit for Trump Org.

North Korea is one of the many, many areas in which Bolton has a thick file of stuff to dump on Trump.

Oh … oh Lord … it just hit me. What Bolton is doing to Trump is the inside-the-beltway equivalent of “revenge porn”.

Now I have to go drink, and it’s not even 10 a.m. yet here.

doesn’t have to be bribery. Could still be extortion.

Yup, they put MORE workers on the books, maybe even charged to refill every mini-bar, ordered bogus room service. Christ - the additional charges for each room could exceed the room rental costs alone!

This is out and our BRIBERY and violation of EMOLUMENTS Clause!

This should be part of the impeachment inquiry because if not, this will only signal to Trump and his Thugs-R-Us enterprise that it is okay to profit while in office!
