Here’s the thing on the Venezuela bombing on the water:
Venezuela can say anything it wants about who and what was on the boat that was bombed. If it doesn’t include an admission of drugs on the boat, the US government will simply accuse Venezuela of lying and continuing to justify the action.
Facts have absolutely no place in the US government these days unless they support the administration’s desires and narrative.

AFAIK, the Pentagon is still working on conjuring up a plausible legal justification for the bombing/rocketing of that boat and so far, i haven’t heard that they have came up with one. And the “drug smugglers” may well have been undocumented migrants.

Nothing. Just claim those citizens were actually illegal drug-dealing gang members and apparently MAGA will cheer.
It’s why we always approach these situations as a law enforcement matter rather than a military one. The chances of getting it wrong and killing innocent people is high.

Now that we have a War Department run by a Prez and a Sec who, even between them, have no brains, no knowledge, no judgment or capacity for judgment, no ethics, and no inclination to seek the counsel of those who, alive or dead, might have any of those things…

There’s an additional point in MM that I didn’t consider on my first comment here:
The SCOTUS has said the First Felon cannot possibly commit a crime while acting as POTUS.
It won’t matter what Venezuela says - no legal action will be performed. He’s completely in the clear.
