You know what’s missing from all of this?
Members of Congress who, apparently, may’ve cooperated with the J6 efforts, before, during and after the melee.
Is none of what they did prosecutable? The argument of tours of the Capital when the building was closed to the public for COVID sticks out here. Could MoC’s simply circumvent the rule? If they did, who signed off on it?
I don’t want the GQP congresscritters getting away with their involvement in this.

I recall that even before Jack Smith was appointed, Rick Scott Perry had his phone seized. IANAL, but I do not believe that Representative Perry is out of danger just yet, and I doubt that his lawyers are suggesting he should be sleeping soundly.

Supporting the coup by standing on the sidelines applauding is not a crime.
I know there were rumors of tours that could be seen as reconnaissance, but it’s been two years now. There are cameras all over the Capitol that have been scoured for evidence regarding J6. If any members of Congress were actively involved in a crime, I think we would know about it by now.

As far as I know, it’s been hands-off regarding elected Rs in every single investigation. There appears to be no teeth to the oath they swore…and no repercussions when they involve themselves in a criminal conspiracy to overthrow the nation.
In fact, it doesn’t even qualify as news or campaign talking points judging by reportage and the Ds campaign strategies.
