A Brave Trump Takes ‘Strong’ Action To Protect Inanimate Statues

["On Tuesday he tweeted, ‘I have authorized the Federal Government to arrest anyone who vandalizes or destroys any monument, statue or other such Federal property in the U.S. with up to 10 years in prison, per the Veteran’s Memorial Preservation Act, or such other laws that may be pertinent.’ "]

He cannot imprison COVID, though.

Good story. The demographics–and resultant advertising realities–make this an obvious move.

Just one other among the many things he doesn’t know.

It’s cool when accuracy and ridicule meet on the same headline, isn’t it?

I think we can say he’s one of the remarkably few people outside an institution who literally know nothing. There’s arguably not one piece of useful information left in that rotting brain.

The “Green Berets” will be guarding this valuable represention of our National Heritage.

Well, at least he is a person of color.

Trump disses this country every morning he awakens in his bed in the WH.

If you don’t mind the mold…

More statues have gone down under Trump than in the history of the United States before that.

So he isn’t even good at protecting inanimate objects.

In the LA Times, I read some African Studies professor included US Grant in his list of slaveholders to be dishonored. Yes, Grant inherited a slave when he married. In about one year he gave the man his freedom.
After that he saved the Union, recruited black soldiers, almost crushed the KKK when he was president. He did little else, I fear.
So maybe we can give Grant’s Tomb a reprieve, not have it razed just yet.

He’s protecting inanimate objects largely representing Confederate traitors, but is hanging our flesh and blood troops -people with American parents, brothers and sisters, children of their own - out to dry.

We can just carve it off.
