5 Points On How Crypto—And Trump Crypto Corruption—Are Causing Drama In The Senate

I think they are out there talking about. Today Elizabeth Warren was after them on Guantanamo Bay rip off. Just one example.

Gee, I wonder why members of Congress would believe the $TRUMP has anything to do with corruption…I mean, all that’s happening is that STRUMP “jumped nearly 20 percent in value as traders have raced to snatch it up, hoping to score an invite to the May 22 dinner at the president’s golf club in Virginia.”

Surely these “traders” (“traitors>”) are only paying tons of actual money for this completely not-money, not-currency collectible trinket because they’ve heard the food at Trump National is amazing. It couldn’t possibly have anything to do with having a private, probably untraceable dinner with the inane and giggling president who knows you’re somebody who’s just (virtually untraceably) put millions of dollars directly into his pocket for literally nothing in return (until after the dinner), could it?

So is committing unethical, immoral and illegal acts, with a bunch of media coverage, the way to get away with stuff now? Would it work for serial killers?

From Politico: "The memecoin — whose logo is an image of Trump raising his fist — has jumped nearly 20 percent in value as traders have raced to snatch it up, hoping to score an invite to the May 22 dinner at the president’s golf club in Virginia. The surge of trading has generated more than $1 million in fees for the Trump family and its partners, who have now collected more than $320 million since the memecoin debuted in January, according to blockchain analytics company Chainalysis.

“The event is drawing criticism from Democrats — who call it a pay-to-play scheme — and even from some Republicans. Sen. Jeff Merkley of Oregon and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York introduced a bill on Tuesday that would bar senior executive branch officials, including the president, from offering or endorsing financial products like memecoins. The bill was cosponsored by 13 lawmakers.”

You mean they aren’t going to find that absolutely killer “use case” that will definitively prove crypto’s incalculable value to all humanity any minute now?

They don’t even talk about that much any more, it seems. Wonder why.

Will Sam Bankman-Fried be out of prison by then and trotted out as the guest of honor?

They ARE doing that, but on platforms like MSNBC where they talk about these things almost 24/7. But that’s a limited audience.
Meanwhile, Fox, with its millions of viewers are out there promoting autocracy that, I’m coming to fear, is already too far embedded to stop. Try getting your msg on Fox.
ETA: As I write this a Dem senator is on MSNBC speaking of ALL these issues.

Oh yeah, definitely waste your very limited media time stabbing your own strongest fighters in the back, while the Enemies of the People grift madly and at will. Because timing is everything, in politics, comedy, and life.

Pelosi’s been stabbing the party in the back for years. Now she has her own daughter meddling in the sacrificing of David Hogg. The party is in shambles b/c of the Old Guard. Kick 'em out. They no longer have anything to offer.
