TPM published an exclusive account on Tuesday of Jerry and Becki Falwells’ relationship with Giancarlo Granda, their real estate business partner who says he carried on sexual liaisons with the couple over an eight-year period.
Earlier revelations about Granda’s involvement with the Falwells — in which he said he would have sex with Becki as Jerry watched — contributed to Jerry Falwell Jr.’s downfall from his position as president of Liberty University.
What’s really sad is that it took an apparently consensual sexual arrangement – about which I could not possibly care less – to run (fake) university president Falwell out of Liberty (Fake) University.
Could not have happened to a more deserving couple or university. They can all GTH.
I always knew these high profile evangelicals were lying scum. We now have proof of how immoral and unchristian they really are.

I’m a little torn about reading this stuff. Some of it is just titillating, like that Jerry was taking seconds. I guess it’s important to have it out there but I feel kind of icky reading it.
I’d take either of these over being blasted over the whole media as Cuck Jerry & Horny Becki.
Liberty is a diploma mill that relieves naive Christians of their money and when they can’t find work in the real world, offers them minimum-wage jobs at the university in the recruitment office to continue the grift.
Yeah. But the word “muckraker” is in the header there for a reason.

Jerry would have sex with his wife after Granda and Becki finished having sex.
Granda also showed TPM material from a January 2019 Facetime video in which Becki Falwell is nude and Jerry follows, watching as Becki carries on a conversation with Granda.

Don’t worry, Jerry Jr. loves the humiliation of it all.
My position is that Becki, like any other woman, can screw whoever she wants and if Jerry was happy with the arrangement then it’s all kosher. Now the issue of the “hypocrisy” doesn’t bother me because I don’t expect that “religious leaders” will behave any more “morally” than the general population, in fact I expect them to be worse, after all these are people that make a living peddling BS, and that is true from the Tengri Shaman to the Pope.
The only thing I find censurable is that they were using the money of the University to pay for their fun and the later coverup.

I’m sad to see this National Enquirer level story get top billing on the Web Site. I’m so sad that I’m cancelling my membership. I will continue to follow TPM. If real journalism takes the top spot again, consistently, I’ll renew my membership.

You may be missing the big picture here: this story, lurid details and all, is confirmation the Falwell’s were highly susceptible to blackmail and extortion. Other stories have built a case that Michael Cohen, Trump’s bagman and fixer at the time, was likely the agent that gained Falwell’s endorsement for Trump and enabled the growth of his evangelical base.
Well sorry everybody but I think it’s a fun story and I like getting to put my two cents in on it. Said I wished there was a thread on it yesterday. You aren’t forced to open any threads and comment.
It seems clear to me that Jerry has a drinking problem and that raises the hair on the backs of the Baptist necks more than the sex does.
