LOS ANGELES (AP) — The unofficial holiday celebrating all things cannabis arrives Monday as the nation’s emerging legal marijuana market braces for an economic blow from the coronavirus crisis, with many consumers reducing spending or going underground for deals.

Never going back. Pot shops will deal with, and be affected, just like everyone else.

And fuck the AP. I didn’t miss them in their absence from TPM.

Temporarily unemployed workers are likely to use marijuana more often, but (unlike beer) not more heavily in terms of incapacitating themselves through either intoxication or aftereffects. I suppose those who drink more beer are more likely to accelerate toilet-paper use than those who smoke/eat/etc cannabis … except the people whose munchies make them overindulge in foods their system can’t handle.

Still-employed but working-from-home workers … well, I’ll keep my experience to myself. Ahem. I have been drinking less alcohol, hardly any.

Well this will be the first real widespread test of the old adage, “dope will get you thru times of no money better than money will get you thru times of no dope.”
