After Musk tweeted about taking the red pill the other day, I sold all my copper stocks. What a maroon!
As long as we can maintain a healthy economy with chimney sweeps, linkmen and toshers, we will be fine.
At times I try to imagine what Republicans in DC and Deplorables at home would be screaming if Hillary Clinton were President as we approach 100,000 dead from this virus!
Hint: Itās a lot different from what theyāre saying now.
Musk going Deep State? I have no commodities to sell but am squirreling some $$ away (from the wife) for investing in the recovery. Past on a opportunities during the GR - to keep the peace. Not this time. Like in poker, as Gus Hansen put it, there are hands and there are āsignificantā hands. .
The best time to buy is when everyone else is selling and thereās blood on the street. Then again, you have to be really brave to do that.
Trading is where the money is at, investing for longer term really sucks. Being as trading commissions are near zero or at zero at many places, trading is the way to go. Buy a safe stock that has large volume and nice movement and try to time it right. Buy and sell as often as possible. As long as you make a profit each time you trade, you can jump in and out as often as possible. If you sell for a loss, you have to wait 30 days to jump back in to avoid a wash sale rule where you canāt buy back in until after 30 days. It takes patience and you have resist buying too soon when something is on the way down.
Thanks. Iām watching the market movement every day, but it seems like day trading right now with the herd mentality following every word out of Moderna and Big Pharma chasing the pandemic vaccine delivery. I prefer the nondescript stuff where money can also be made. Will update you when Iām about to jump in.
Unless itās the creative destruction of the Repugnicant Party, he can talk to the hand.
The number 100,000 is a gut punch to our nation. I personally am in tears when I read it. We really do need a day of mourning, a day together to talk about what weāve lost so far.
The GOP wonāt let us have that.
Bought some ETF s (exchange traded funds) a while ago, about 8 years. My dividend stream every month is down a little, but still streaming in. Donāt have to watch the DOW, plans to jump in or out, or time my moves. The ETF can move up, they can move down, as long as the dividend lands in my bank account that instrument can stay in my portfolio. As I tell people that jump every time the market moves; if you want excitement go trade currencies (I do), otherwise I expect the fund managers (who are way better at this than I am) to provide me with a monthly income.
