The republican ‘jurors’ in the senate are well aware of the evidence and the facts. They just lack the strength of character, the integrity, and the actual patriotism to vote accordingly. It’s cult over country for them every time.
There have been hints all along that they were sitting on stuff they knew about that haven’t been seen publicly.
Lotta cameras in that place, wouldn’t be at all surprised to see them show up close and in detail more of the running battles inside the Capitol.
Keeping the powder dry on those for the trial makes sense, as that can drive the narrative along, whereas releasing it before would allow the media to have gotten bored with it.
1 replyThe Senate trial may ostensibly be about Trump’s incitement of a violent putsch, but it’s actually addressing the adherence to the law and Constitution of GOP senators. Will they elevate loyalty to a disgraced ex-president about country and their oaths of office? Do they want to forever be known as supporters of a man who sought to destroy the Constitution and the rule of law?
Posterity won’t be kind to those who excuse sedition and treason.
