Discussion: Trump On Leaked Tax Return: It’s My Job To Game The Tax System!

Aside from the fact you cheated and didn’t pay your personal income tax… why don’t you release all the rest of your tax returns anyway if they are “really, really good” and show you are such a genius?

Trump doesn’t know jack shit about any tax law. His accountants, on the other hand, know them quite well.

“I understand the tax laws better than almost anyone…

Let’s see if Trump can lie and/or oppose himself within 1 minute…

Trump said he had a “fiduciary responsibility” to pay as little tax as possible…

It [fiduciary responsibility] does not apply to the personal tax returns discussed in the New York Times story Saturday.

There it is.

It’s partly about not paying taxes, but it’s also about losing $916 million in a single year.

Trump has apparently forgotten that he’s running for President on the premise that he’s a successful businessman.

George W. Bush was also a business failure, but at least he didn’t run by telling us he was a genius. We figured out that he wasn’t pretty quickly.

“Trump On Leaked Tax Return: It’s My Job To Game The Tax System!”

Also, to game bankruptcy statutes, immigration rules, small-business contracts, trade debts, labor law, environmental regulations, marriage vows, charity rules, FEC filings, Russian sanctions, the corporate press, RICO statutes, equal-housing protections, religious freedoms, and the Constitution.

So is Trump an “alleged” candidate for president?

So… um, question: If he’s gotten such great personal benefits from the existing tax laws, why would he want to change them once he’s president? Is he that altruistic that he’d sacrifice his own personal finances for the good of the people?

I smell a yuge pile of Grade A corn(dog)-fed bullshite. And his followers are clamoring for bigger plates and more forks.

Why don’t the deplorables get that he lost almost One (1) Billion dollars to “earn” this tax dodge?
And I’m sure it was Other People’s Money.

Are his lower income supporters really supporting him over these comments?

Who in their right mind would alter existing tax law to fuck themselves over? Like sticking a baseball bat full of nails up your own ass.

I see what you did there - you almost got me, but I caught myself in time.

Trump: “I alone can fix it.”

OK - so that means you will be rolling out detailed tax reform plans that will increase the amount of tax that you and other real estate developers/current or former casino owners/reality TV stars have to pay.

Have any reporters challenged him or his surrogates to make one suggestion? Here are some suggestions - longer depreciation schedules; shorter time frame to carry losses forward or back, mortgage interest no longer deductible.

As Mark Cuban suggested there were some very fishy tax shelters available back in that time frame - some rich folks pushed the envelop and others didn’t - which side were you on, Donald?

No, he loves him the Secret Service, because it shows the world he’s a big cheese. 'Cause the little people don’t have 'me.

[quote]…pay him your taxes so he can spent it lavishly on things he wants, like a golden throne from which to issue unconstitutional edicts from…

But he already has a golden throne. I’ve seen pictures of it. He even has note paper in conveniently small (tweet-sized) pieces on a roll next to it for his next tirade…

A fiduciary is a person who holds a legal or ethical relationship of trust with one or more other parties (person or group of persons). Typically, a fiduciary prudently takes care of money or other asset for another person. There is no such thing as a fiduciary duty to yourself.

You aren’t capable of doing your own taxes you can’t concentrate on anything longer than 5 seconds. You have not got clue 1 about the US tax code!!!

Never in my life have I witnessed so many people willing to eat somebody else’s shit. Every one of them must have been abducted by aliens at some point in their lives. “You must wear the Make America Great Again hat. You will only feel the discomfort for a few seconds…”

Let’s look at job creation by Trump. Whatever the numbers might be, just what does he build with other people’s money? Hotels and golf courses now, in the past casinos that didn’t work out so well. Wonder what the net job creation was. How does the casino and Trump Airline collapse-related job loss match up with other jobs he contributed to creating? And just what kind of jobs did/do he and his partners and licensees create? Short-term, low wage (if he paid wages at all), benefit-free or much better? What were/are the working conditions like? How does the building of hotels and golf courses relate to preparation for other jobs our new economy requires? And finally, how many of those employed by Trump can afford to use the facilities he is connected with? Just wondering, wanting to move the discussion beyond claims.

Hope somebody can pull the curtain back on this - it is pretty clear that he engaged in a drastic tax-shelter scheme - and it would seem that, while a business enterprise can have a down turn, to suddenly have losses on this scale would take a deliberate & substantial action. The key questions are probably not about the correctness of the tax return - but more likely the way that the “losses” were amassed . and were there actually corresponding “gains” that were concealed / hidden off shore or moved to disguised accounts… were there “off Balance sheet” activities like Enron & others were doing at the time? Since Trump is not a public company it will be more difficult to find the truth… but there are people who know.
