Discussion: Trump: I Have More Foreign Policy Experience Than 'Virtually Anybody'

Trump is a virtual person (appearing to be 3 dimensional, even though you know there is no depth), and among that small universe, he does have the most experience.

“(Trump) has more foreign policy experience than anybody”

No question. He even looked up Kenya’s and Hawaii’s whereabouts on a map once.

ROFLMAO

Why not say you are a better Space Shuttle pilot than anyone?

Has as much credibility.

I have no doubt that he would, if anyone happened to ask him.

I cannot speak French. But I can speak English with a French accent, which is nearly as good.

You name it, he’s better than anybody else on the planet who might do the same. Sitting in the big chair in the Oval Office with the mythical red phone nearby? Dynamite

@phillydave Here’s the thing. No one has to ever ask him anything. He’ll just tell anyone within earshot how great he is.

“Right now, we have hundreds of deals being negotiated all over the world by my company, and I deal with presidents, and I deal with prime ministers. I deal with everybody,” Trump said on CNN. "I probably have more experience than virtually anybody looking at this office. And I make money. I’ve made a lot of money doing it."

With your business ethics, there is no way in Hell any sane person would trust your ass to represent America’s best interests in the foreign diplomacy arena.

I don’t know – I think Bill O’Reilly would give Trump a good run for the money in that department.

The old saying goes like this: “When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.”

Trump measures everything - almost literally, everything - by how much money he’s made on the deal. That’s fine, as far as that goes, but what kind of deal can he make with, say, a Katrina or a Superstorm Sandy?

Oh, fuck. I just cannot wait until the first debate. I am honestly beginning to believe that Trump may truly be the male version of Sarah Palin, except with smaller hands. And balls.

Additionally, how many Presidents and prime ministers would be involved with small stuff negotiations on Trumps insugnificant businesses?

I think Hillary should refuse to debate Trump unless he signs a pledge to stay on issues. The minute he goes personal, she should walk off the stage and refuse anything but town halls from there on out. He needs debates much more than Hillary does.

Because you have to cue up for that one.

As I said on a different thread, business deals are not state craft. Making money is not the same thing as writing and negotiating a treaty. State craft isn’t always about profit. As @humpback said, Trump is 2 dimensional. He thinks in terms of $$ (profit for him) only. Businessmen make poor political leaders. I say that based on the experience of 3 governors of Arizona. Evan Mecham was a used car dealer in Phoeninx. He was elected in the 1980’s. He was very conservative and pissed off many here. He got in trouble for embezzling money from his inauguration fund to prop up his failing dealership and had to leave his office early. Fife Symington was a land speculator who got elected in the 90’s. He got in trouble for being mixed up in a land fraud deal that nearly cost John McCainhis career. Symington ended up serving a couple of years in prison. Today we are being “governed” by Doug Ducey, former CEO of Cold Stone creamery. he is lusting after the death of public education and removing any tax burden on corporations (it’s a long long rant of mine). Suffice it to say his governing style is Sam Brownback 2.0.
My advice is: DO NOT ELECT BUSINESSMEN/WOMEN.
