“Since the masses have only a poor acquaintance with abstract ideas, their reactions lie more in the domain of the feelings, where the roots of their positive as well as their negative attitudes are implanted…The emotional grounds of their attitude furnish the reason for their extraordinary ability. It is always more difficult to fight against faith than against knowledge. And the driving force which has brought about the most tremendous revolutions on this earth have never been a body of scientific teaching which has gained power over the masses, but always a devotion which has inspired them, and often a kind of hysteria which has urged them into action. Whoever wishes to win over the masses must know the key that will open the door to their hearts. It is not objectivity, which is a feckless attitude, but a determined will…”

Those who Murdoch hired to allow FOX “news” to destroy the objectivity of an entire generation of Americans know well the principles set forth by the author of the above passage.

Aside from any so-called “practical” considerations, it is fitting that Murdoch would recognize the pure emotional appeal of Trump to his followers

Murdoch is one of the worst things ever to come out of Australia.

The synchronicity is awesome. Imagine the power of two extra-strong forces joining together to be MORE than the sum of their parts…It’s like…It’s like…

“American automobile company formed by the 1954 merger of Nash-Kelvinator Corporation and Hudson Motor Car Company. At the time, it was the largest corporate merger in U.S. history.”

Accepting that you have a problem is the first step towards recovery. Best of luck to Mr. Murdoch. It’s going to be a difficult process, but will be worth the effort and turmoil in the end.

(Alternately, bargaining is the third stage of grief, not to mix metaphors…)

Hah. Yeah, what could go wrong?

And one of the worst things to enter the United States too. Funny story how he became a US Citizen too, jumping ahead of the line, but that’s for another day.

Kelvinator was a refrigerator company. Lol

But I bet that car is a collector’s item today.

The actual conversation as reported by anonymous sources to the NYT.

Trump: I’m yuge, Rupert, you loser. Blacks and Mexicans and white guys who drink Coors love me. My campaign is fabulous and very classy, unlike those trashy London tabloids you publish. I’m not your ass-boy like David Cameron.

Murdoch: Fug off, ya blodger. I’ll cook your bloody arse on my barbie after I stuff a Sydney funnel-web spider down your pants. Get on your knees and smile like a donut, ya wanker

So even Murdock has to genuflect at the altar of Donald Trump. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Murdock do that. Those Trump-driven ratings must really be good.

It is apparent that Rupert Murdoch, his masseuse and the Saudis who own Foxy News have substantial if not complete control over the Presidential electoral process and American democracy.

OMG, Murdoch is nervous over the monster that his media empire helped create: the Donald? Schadenfreude is so, so sweet!

Exactly what I thought. Murdoch kissing Donalds ring is icing on the schadenfreude cake. This is good and getting better by the day.

(Thinking). Deport both their asses – and seize all their assets so they can be distributed to good causes such as Planned Parenthood and any non-profits dedicated to strengthening women’s healthcare and reproductive rights and spreading comprehensive sex education for both girls and boys far and wide; SPCAs in desperate need of funding; Habitat for Humanity; World Wildlife Fund; non-profit organizations dedicated to fighting climate change; non-profits dedicated to spreading the truth about today’s “conservative movement” and how it is detrimental to our freedoms, personal liberties and how it seeks to enslave the vast majority in indentured servitude for the benefit of the Trumps, Kochs, Adelsons, Bushes, Cheneys and their ilk.

This would be a good use of all of Murdoch’s ill-gotten fortune considering all the harm that asshole has caused the world over. Mel Gibson, too, but he’s got only pennies on the dollar compared to Rupert. Still, he deserves to be penniless.

Donald Trump does not suffer fool media barons who are critical of him kindly. He shut out the Manchester Union newspaper by staying out of and delegitimizing their so-called debate at St. Anselm College yesterday.

Rupert must have realized that Donald Trump is coasting towards a historic victory in the Republican nomination. Rupert risked losing a lot of money if Mr. Trump cut off Foxy News. Rupert’s Saudi co-owners at Foxy News would not be happy.

Now roll over Ruppy… good boy.
