Discussion: McCain Invokes Charlottesville Attack In Defense Of McMaster Against Alt-Right

Problem is, the media will probably let him. They’ll all go running like lemmings after the next distraction he tosses their way.

When was the last time anybody tried to get the real answers behind the birther obsession? Or the emoluments violations? Or why he stayed in contact with Michael Flynn after he was fired? Or whether Jared has a security clearance? Or any one of the thousands of trump-related scandals scattered and left to rot without any follow-up? trump knows he can give a weaselly answer and no one will ever follow up.

This is true.

Hey, guys. Forget “alt-right.” From now on they are referred to as “white supremacists.” It is more descriptive and has the benefit of being true and accurate.

Long ago there was a televised debate between teams of four people on feminism. On the pro side was a judge out of NY, Betty Friedan and two others I forget. On the con side was a twit pushing the catholic antiabortion shtick, Wm Buckley who spent the whole time making stupid jokes about the term “chairperson,” some professor (female) from Louisiana and Arianna Huffington. Arianna kept playing the victim because of her Greek origin, but the judge didn’t let her get away with it. The judge also came down like a ton of bricks on the catholic about how her concern was only for the fetus and heck with the baby and the mother.

Crass. Is the name calling necessary? It sounds downright trumpian.

Not when it comes to that skank Arianna. I remember when she went after Clinton for getting a blowjob while, at the same time, being a beard for her gay husband and a friend of Newt - who was getting blown by a staffer. She is beyond contempt and deserves all the “crassness” she gets.

I’ve seen her interviewed over the past year or so on several topics related to her legal work for the NAACP. Sherrilynl Ifill is focused, intelligent, and soft-spoken in tone but very compelling in message. (Gwen must have been so proud.)

I see the alt-right reflecting, generally, the Tea Party’s body of thought, not the far right. Antifa is the far left’s national socialism branch. In this sense then, it would be perfectly normal for McCain, a screaming RINO, to support McMaster.
