Guys, whatever you think of RoguePOTUSStaff, this is fascinating reading.
Me personally, I still just don’t know what to think about him/her/them. I can’t tell if his/her/their detailed disdain for Louise Mensch is a brilliant deflection from his/her/their own phoniness, or whether it’s authenticating. Ditto the way the writing style always reminds me of Wonkette for some reason.
But this piece, and their recent tweets, whether it’s good fiction or real, it’s worth reading just for the take he/she/they have.
Excerpts:
It appears that Don Jr’s description of the Veselnitskaya meeting as a false pretense is more or less accurate, but superficial. It seems to be that there was a double false pretense at work. Veselnitskaya sought the meeting under the false pretense of having damaging information against Clinton, but the reason Veselnitskaya requested the meeting had nothing to do with international adoption policy. The false pretense given was itself bait to test the campaign’s receptiveness to accepting collaborative assistance from the Russian government.
. . .
This meeting with Veselnitskaya therefore seems to be the acorn from which the oak has grown. Thanks to this meeting the Russian government was able to determine that the Trump campaign was open to overt and collaborative assistance in the election. The Russian plans for intervention may have turned a corner as a result, evolving from an attempt to install a useful fool into the cultivation of a willing partner.

It’s pretty much exactly what I think this meeting was about. It’s consistent with what the ex-spook commenters are saying it probably was. And I think the real point here was to make contact with Kushner, not the idiot.
