Discussion: Atlanta Woman Fatally Shot By Police While Detained In Back Of Squad Car

I’ve already said incompetence by the cops is a good possibility. But that does not excuse her if she took the first shot, and it makes the shooting justified if that is what happened.

Plenty of ways for a woman to keep a concealed weapon in her private areas.

Nothin’ up my sleeve!

Maybe she couldn’t aim well because she was handcuffed.

You trust the “FBI”?

Way back in the 1960’s, in Bloomfield, NJ, cops arrested two young men, put them in the back of their squad car.
Somehow one of the captives had a small .22 palm-size revolver behind his shirt and belt buckle. They forced the cops to open the door after which a gun fight ensured. By some miracle, no one got killed.
I remember it well, happened across the street from the home of a relative who lived there in that period. A stray bullet lodged in the wall of his house.

WTF? Where do they hire these clowns? Cheapest man gets the gig?

It’s a foregone conclusion the Atlanta cops will back the officers involved. The investigation of the cops is being done by cops. What other outcome would you expect?

Those cute little angels, up to their same old tricks.
To protect themselves and kill you. Lovely.

You know if they were sexually assaulting her, she might well not have been cuffed and she might have had a chance to get or keep a weapon. When they left her in the car while they put their cover story together she may have been blindly angry enough to try to shoot them. But unless video emerges we’ll never really know what actually happened. But it’s clear the cops all across the country are out of control and have no credibility in incidents like this.

Schierbaum said it’s unclear how the woman had a gun in the patrol car.

That’s easy: The police put it in her hands after they shot her.

Anybody else notice that the hole in the back window is foot-shaped? No matter what it doesn’t look like the hole you’d get with pistol rounds passing through the safety glass.

I don’t recall reading about her gun being apprehended.

Well this is some bullshit.
Is this like the handcuffed kid in the back of the patrol car with his hands behind his back
who shot himself in the forehead?

Damn.

Actually she got one hand free and shot at them. She’s a big time criminal.

Your’e not kicking through safety glass that easy, especially a rear window. Definitely from gunshots. The windshield had a bullet hole, the rear side window was "obliterated’, and the rear window obviously took a few shots. Even Bruce Lee couldn’t have pulled that off.

What? In broad daylight on a busy street?

Reality here:

Why do you continue to mention she was black? Police don’t feel threaten by women whether they be black, white, red, yellow, purple, etc… It is very possible they put her in the car without checking to see if she was carrying a weapon.

This better be a white woman from the suburbs.

They’re shooting unarmed people down in broad daylight too.

Authorities announced Thursday that Daniel Holtzclaw has been fired from the Oklahoma City Police Department. Holtzclaw is charged with 36 counts of rape, sexual battery, indecent exposure and forcible oral sodomy after several women came forward, claiming the officer assaulted them while they were in custody or inside his police car. In November, a detective confirmed that Holtzclaw’s police car was exactly where the women said they were when the alleged crimes happened.
