Everyone thinks they are (or should be) the center of the universe. That doesn’t tell me anything about China’s particular stance with regard to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. That’s what I’d like to know specifically.
I wouldn’t be strutting around that way if I were you. They’ll just throw men and machines out there and keep getting plenty more from China, North Korea, and any other country that’s sick of European domination.
Based on media reports I have read and watched, China seems to be trying to assume a neutral position. Apparently, spokespersons for the foreign ministry have both said that they oppose more ‘illegal’ and useless sanctions against Russia and that the territorial sovereignty of The Ukraine should be respected.

Quite mixed. They’re certainly in an informal alliance of convenience with Putin to weaken the United States wherever they can, and may have given some kind of tacit guarantee to allow Russian forces to shift from the east to reinforce the attack on Ukraine.
On the other hand, the principle of national sovereignty is really important to the PRC. Really, really important. They can’t possibly be pleased with the idea of an international order in which it is okay for powerful countries to invade other countries, carve off separatist bits of landscape, or go about regime-changing for the lols of it.
Sometimes when you try to straddle a fence, it results in a very uncomfortable landing.
